In a poll conducted by Talker Research for SurePayroll By Paychex,

The average American describes the perfect salary as $74,000; however, half of the respondents say their current pay is not enough to support their lifestyle.

One in five say that making upward of six figures would be necessary to enjoy their lifestyle (19%).

If they made more money, respondents would prioritize practicality by putting it in their savings or investment accounts (46%) or using it to pay off their bills (42%).

Others would put it toward expenses that add up quickly, like groceries (35%) and travel (23%).

Get ready to put the food away before midnight, and don't get them wet!

In some health news, "This is a huge step for cancer treatment."

Scientists unveiled the first-ever small molecule drug designed to destroy a specific cancer-enabling RNA, effectively targeting the disease's ability to live forever.

This on the heels of a drug that eliminates the HIV/AIDS virus

Go medical science!!!

This holiday season, expect shoppers to rely heavily on AI Assistants (like Gemini or ChatGPT) for gift ideas and recommendations, changing how retailers market. Because they know your friends and family way better than you do.

Let's not forget that November brings some fun "weird" events.

No Shave November is back. I think this might have grown out (ha pun) from hunters staying scruffy until they get their deer.

Also known as Movember- the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.

NaNoWiMo is not happening! National Novel Writing Month ended after 20 years. It was where writers were encouraged to write a novel during the month of November. The goal was to just write 10,000 words this month. Don't edit..just write. There was a website that you could go to with other writers, and it would give prompts and "events" to get you writing.

There are a few new places if you're game, Shut Up and Write, NoQuWriMo, and FicFrenzy to name a few.

Also, Novel November is a UK-based ProWritingAid.

KFC teamed up with Hismile to release a limited-edition fried chicken-flavored toothpaste based on the 11 herbs and spices. It's described as a "full-on flavor takeover" of your oral care routine.

“This started as an April Fools’ joke, but we thought — why not make it real?” Hismile marketing manager Koban Jones said in a statement.

Not sure how I feel about savory toothpaste.

A celebrity's sister went "full culinary anarchist" by tossing dry pasta into a saucepan before adding boiling water, sparking massive internet debate and outrage.

You can add dry pasta directly to a saucepan before pouring in boiling water, but it's important to stir it frequently to prevent sticking. This method can work, but traditionally, pasta is added to boiling water to ensure even cooking and to avoid clumping.
