Time magazine has the three best words to say to someone whose sports team just lost.

Let's Zoom Out.

When a friend is gutted over a team’s loss, your instinct might be to fix the feeling fast. But the best approach isn’t to talk them out of their disappointment and instead to widen the frame around it. You might word it like this: “Zoom out a little bit, and realize how great the season was,” suggests Edward Hirt, a professor of psychological and brain sciences at Indiana University Bloomington

They suggest a few others, “That was a really tough loss. I’m sorry.” and “There’s always next year.”.

I would add, once you say these things to the die hard fan. Run...Run as fast as you can!

Bruises have a beautiful color palette. But not for a tattoo!!!! Really???

Often incorporating the purples, pinks, greens and yellows of bruises, these designs can be arranged in heart shapes, filtered through pastel hues, or rendered as more literal depictions of harsh bruising on the skin.

It's big in South Korea.

You've had a long day and you have tired eyeballs. (and this might go without saying) DO NOT USE A MASSAGE GUN ON THEM!!!

You and I may be smart enough to not do it, but a guy in Scotland did.

Ophthalmologists discovered it when the man, who was in his 20s, appeared at an eye treatment center in Edinburgh. He told them he had noticed increasing floaters and flashing lights in his right eye over the previous six days. According to a BMJ Case Report, the man said he hadn’t had any eye or head injuries before the vision problems began, and that his family didn’t have a history of eye disorders that might explain them.

The man then reluctantly admitted he had been trying to soothe his tired eyes with a percussive massage gun. Specifically, he used a gun with a small head attachment shaped like a bullet.

The doctors acknowledged that percussive massage therapy may be helpful for some soft tissues, like muscles, with the vibrations possibly relieving pain, improving blood flow, and promoting relaxation. But it can demonstrably cause serious damage to the eyeballs.

Dressing to impress at the gym is gone! (who did that anyway?)

Forget the matched activewear sets!

As The Guardian puts it, Enter the gym goblin. The optics remain much the same – think ancient T-shirts, knackered socks, oversized cardigans – but the setting has changed, with goblincore devotees rising up from unmade beds.

Even vintage sportswear from rummage sales and Thrift Stores is big!

Holly Evans, a teacher-training manager and instructor says, "When people feel less pressure to wear expensive or trend-led activewear, yoga becomes more accessible and welcoming. It reinforces the idea that participation matters more than presentation.”
