A San Francisco tech startup posted a job listing offering $20 to dog walkers willing to spend four to six hours walking robot dogs.

The company, Dimensional, said in the since-deleted listing in the Bay Area Jobs group on Facebook that the robot dog walkers would be required to spend at least four hours walking computer-brained canines through public areas in the city.

The listing said applicants should be comfortable "safely handling equipment weighing about 33 pounds," as walkers would be required to carry any robot dogs that broke down back to the company's address -- appropriately located in the Dogpatch neighborhood.

How much Halloween candy do you have left over? How quickly do you need to eat it before it goes bad?

Narrow your candy down by type and ingredients to determine how long it might last. According to the National Confectioners Association, the pantry is generally the safest place to store candy. They share the following shelf-life and storage suggestions:

Dark chocolate. One to two years if wrapped in foil and stored in a cool, dry, dark place like a pantry.

Milk and white chocolate. Eight to 10 months.

Hard candy. Up to a year.

Candy corn. Three to six months if opened, nine months if unopened.

Gum:. Six to nine months if unopened.

Caramel. Six to nine months.

It's not a good thing if you get a French Fries emoji.

It's a way for Gen Alpha to tell someone they're being corny, embarrassing, or simply talking too much.

Depending on the context, the fries emoji can have a few different meanings, none of which have much to do with fast food.

On its own, 🍟 can be used to call someone or something "corny" or "cringe." It's a dismissive reaction to a joke that doesn't land, an embarrassing comment, or someone who's trying a little too hard.

Paired with the peace sign, 🍟✌️ generally means "wrap it up" or "just put the fries in the bag, bro." In other words, stop talking.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - The sandwich was named after John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, who demanded his valet bring him salt beef tucked between two slices of toasted bread in 1762 so he could eat without greasy fingers ruining his marathon card games.
