What’s the Difference Between a Hero, Sub, Grinder, and Hoagie?

A sub is at least six inches long and is constructed with a combination of meat, cheese, fixings (lettuce, tomato, etc.), and dressing. It is usually served cold. This is the most commonly used of the terms.
But not in Pennsylvania. Philadelphians, in particular, have hoagies. The term likely comes from Depression-era jazz musician and sandwich-shop owner Al De Palma, who started calling his submarines “hoggies” because you “had to be a hog” to eat a sandwich that big.
Hero most likely comes from New York Herald Tribune columnist Clementine Paddleworth who in 1936 described a sandwich so large “you had to be a hero to eat it.” This one does refer to hot and cold sandwiches.
Grinders, which is the New England–based term for a hero. According to Bon Appétit, “some claim that it was named for ‘grinders,’ Italian-American slang for dockworkers (who were often sanding and grinding rusty hulls to repaint them),” but the term most likely comes from the fact that they were harder to chew than normal sandwiches: “that toothsomeness got translated into ‘grinder,’ since that’s what your teeth had to do to get through a bite.”

This comes from TikTok..so take it for what it's worth.
Freezing your carbs before eating them could make digestion easier and better for your blood sugar.
Videos circulating on TikTok and Instagram feature doctors saying that once frozen, a slice of bread becomes "completely different and 10 times healthier than it was before you froze it."
nutrition experts say there's some truth behind the trend and that, while it doesn't necessarily make bread healthy, it could act as "damage control," which some research backs up.
A small 2008 study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition tested bread in four different ways: fresh, frozen, toasted and frozen-then-toasted. Scientists found that the latter combo reduced blood sugar spikes in healthy participants. Compared to eating fresh bread, glucose response dropped by as much as 40%.
The same principle applies to other carbs such as pasta, rice and potatoes when they're cooked, cooled and reheated.

TikTok 2.
This one is a new food trend in Germany. Viral clips show crowds gathering in public to eat pudding with forks, or as it’s called in German, pudding mit gabel.
the trend began in August, in Karlsruhe, Germany with a mysterious flyer inviting people to a “let’s-eat-pudding-with-a-fork meetup.” No one knows who created it, but a local meme page, karlsruher.memes (with about 84,000 followers), shared the idea, and it quickly snowballed.
Most recently, it made its way to Northeastern University, where a TikTok video shows students digging into pudding cups with forks in the middle of campus, laughing as they join in on the viral challenge.

Netflix is creating a competition series based on the board game "Clue". Not much else is known except players will go through physical and mental challenges to earn clues.
The classic characters from the game like Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, and Miss Scarlet will be represented, but it's not clear HOW. There will also be "red herrings" to confuse players.
NBC has a game show based on the popular "New York Times" puzzle "Wordle" in the works. Jimmy Fallon is an executive producer and Savannah Guthrie from the "Today" show is set to host.
Wasn't that Lingo?

American office workers estimate that 51% of their day goes to "busywork" like copying and pasting, writing emails, and searching for files.
There's also: Calendars . . . meetings . . . reports . . . troubleshooting aging technology . . . and filling out forms, like timesheets and expense reports.
It isn't just boring and annoying, 85% of workers say "repetitive tasks" trigger stress about four times per week . . . and are a top driver of burnout.

Dolly Parton's sister is calling for the world to pray for Dolly. She said, "Many of you know she hasn't been feeling her best lately . . . and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me."
It's all shrouded in mystery as the Dolly camp is not talking.
This comes a little over a week from when Dolly postponed her Las Vegas residency because she said she was dealing with "health challenges." Everyone is hoping Dolly gets the rest she needs and comes back stronger than ever.

Pittsburgh just put up their downtown Christmas tree . . . more than TWO MONTHS before the holidays. One kid said that they wished the city would've waited until after Halloween.
There's a local news report about the Christmas tree, which was put up in the plaza at an ice rink. But the ice rink doesn't even open until November 14th.
I understand you want to do it in nice weather..but really??? Will it even have needles by the time even December gets here?

A study found political bumper stickers make you a road rage magnet. We're much more likely to honk at people if they have a bumper sticker supporting views or politicians we don't like.
And of course..they are the worst driver you've ever seen!!!!!
