Don't forget that Daylight Saving Time ends at 2am Sunday morning. Set your clocks back (if they don't do it themselves) before you go to bed Saturday night.
In a new poll, 28% of people said they are not looking forward to it even though we're "gaining" an hour.
41% of people said they "don't really care" about it either way.
But 23% of people said they're looking forward to it. Which goes to show some people like the darker evenings of fall and winter.

Peloton members get a special treat this Halloween. There are three official "Friday the 13th"-themed classes currently available, where users pedal to survive Jason Voorhees and Camp Crystal Lake.
Peloton instructors have turned into camp counselors to guide members through high-intensity classes where, quote, "rumors about Jason's next victims run rampant."
It's a 30-minute bike ride, a 30-minute bootcamp, and a 10-minute meditation. The meditation focuses on "breathing techniques, facing your demons and finding calm in scary times."

Baseball has a long history of strange coincidences.
On Monday, there was an 18-inning marathon between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays.
It was only the second time in HISTORY that a World Series game ever went that long. The first was Game Three of the 2018 World Series. But guess who sang the national anthem before both? Brad Paisley.
And now Brad is calling himself "Mr. More Baseball".
But those aren't the only World Series Brad has sung for. He also sang in 2017 and last year. And both of those games went to extras, too!
It's a night off for the Boys of Summer tonight with Toronto with a 3 to 2 lead over the Dodgers. Game 6 will be in Toronto tonight for Halloween.

How satisfied with your life would you say you are on a scale from 1 to 10?
A new study found that if you're only hovering around a 3, it could be affecting your health in a big way. Or at least not PROTECTING your health.
Research shows that loving life comes with lots of health benefits. You're less likely to get sick if you're happy and content. And the new study quantified it.
They asked people to "imagine a ladder with steps numbered from zero at the bottom to 10 at the top." 10 means the best possible life you could imagine for yourself. Zero is the worst.
They found that on average, the minimum number before you see ANY health benefits is . . . a 2.7. But once you're above that . . . basically a 3 or higher . . . you see more and more health benefits the higher you go.
It also found that being "excessively" happy . . . like at a 9 or 10 . . . came with no negative effects, just positive ones. In other words, you can't OVERDOSE on happiness. More is better.

16% . . . or around one in six people . . . think pets actually enjoy dressing up for Halloween. A full 40% think they either like it, or at least don't mind.
The poll didn't distinguish between cats and dogs. But obviously dogs are a tad more receptive.
16% think pets like or LOVE dressing up . . . 24% think they're more 'meh' about it . . . 45% said they definitely DON'T like it . . . and 15% said "not sure."
Around a third of Americans have dressed up a pet before, or plan to this year. And social media shoulders a lot of the blame.
Even with more Halloweens under their belt, just 18% of seniors have dressed up a pet . . . compared to 35% of Gen Z'ers.

There's a new article in the "New York Times" that asks, "Have Halloween Decorations Become Too Scary?"
It mentions things like "Skelly" and the HUGE Halloween skeletons that have been popping up. Along with very lifelike witches and demons . . . and realistic blood and gore.
They talked to some parents who have young kids who like the "classic" Halloween imagery: Pumpkins, witches, ghosts, spiders, and skeletons. And they feel like today's "dismembered bodies . . . and moving, speaking, and gesturing props" are too disturbing.
There are also neighbors who complain about the decorations in their neighborhood being too violent and unsettling.
Some adults even admit that THEY have been rattled by some of the modern decorations . . . although others say it's possible they were always there, they just didn't notice them as much until THEY had kids.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Geographically, the United States and Canada are almost the exact same size. The U.S. is about 1.5% smaller . . . and it's only 3.5% smaller than all of Europe.
