The debut episode of Netflix's new horror series "The Midnight Club" was one for the record books. Literally.
It set the Guinness World Record for the most JUMP SCARES in a premiere episode. There were 21.
Which is interesting, because the show's co-creator Mike Flanagan HATES jump scares.
He says, quote, "I thought, 'We're going to do all of them at once, and then if we do it right, a jump scare will be rendered meaningless for the rest of the series.'
"It'll just destroy it. Kill it finally until it's dead, but that didn't happen. They were like, 'Great! More [scares]!'"

"Top Gun: Maverick" may have been your classic "no-holds-barred, adrenaline-fueled thrill ride", but was it 100% scientifically accurate? Apparently not.
In fact, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson says Tom Cruise should have DIED during one particular scene.
Quote, "Maverick ejects from a hypersonic plane at Mach 10.5, before it crashed. He survived with no injuries. At that air speed, his body would splatter like a chainmail glove swatting a worm. Just sayin'."
He added, quote, "When Maverick ejected at Mach 10.5, he was going 7,000 miles per hour, giving him 400 million joules of kinetic energy, the explosive power of 100 kilograms of TNT. A situation that human physiology is not designed to survive.
"So, no. Maverick does not walk away from this. He be dead. Very dead."

Who is the world's hottest bald man? You don't have to answer that, because science already has. It's Vin Diesel. A "search engine optimization" company called Reboot looked at a bunch of different factors, including the infamous "Golden Ratio", an equation that supposedly measures facial beauty and perfection.
They also calculated net worth, height, and how often each guy was described as hot on Twitter. And since we're talking BALD men, they factored in CRANIAL SHINE FACTOR . . . the higher the better.
For instance, Vin's head has a cranial luminance of 563.65 candelas per square meter. That means his head "reflects light with 70.46% of the luminous intensity of a standard lightbulb." Which is apparently pretty impressive. (???)
Based on the various criteria, they gave everyone a score out of 10.
With that in mind, here are the sexiest bald men on Earth . . .
1. Vin Diesel, 6.46
2. Stanley Tucci, 6.33
3. Shemar Moore, 6.25
4. Pitbull, 6.16
5. Prince William, 6.13
6. Jason Statham, 5.96
7. Bruce Willis, 4.75
8. Joe Rogan, 4.37
9. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, 3.62
10. Mike Tyson, 2.50

A new poll found cat owners are more likely to think black cats bring GOOD luck.
Only 21% of cat owners in the U.S. think black cats are bad luck, and 41% think they're good luck.
(This is my boy Shadow..he's a great cat)
The same poll also found black cats are more popular than you'd think. It's the fourth most popular color for a cat. 10% of cat owners say it's their favorite.
The five most popular cat colors are solid white, 32% . . . tabby, 14% . . . tuxedo, which is black with a white chest, 13% . . . all black, 10% . . . and harlequin, which is mostly white with patches of another color, also 10%.
9% said calico or tortoiseshell . . . only 7% prefer orange cats . . . and 4% said blue-gray, which is like a medium-gray color.
One last stat: Black cat owners were slightly more likely to say Halloween is their favorite holiday . . . 25% compared to 21% for everyone else.

While it may seem shallow to rate a person on their looks alone, the Golden Ratio is a mathematical equation first devised by the Greeks in an attempt to measure beauty.
The latest analysis by some a plastic surgeon, claims that Jodie Comer from "Killing Eve" and "Free Guy" has the most perfectly-arranged face on Earth.
Jodie's features were found to be 94.52% accurate to the Golden Ratio, which put her at the top of the heap.
Here's the Top 10:
1. Jodie Comer, 94.52%
2. Zendaya, 94.37%
3. Bella Hadid, 94.35%
4. Beyoncé, 92.44%
5. Ariana Grande, 91.81%
6. Taylor Swift, 91.64%
7. British model Jourdan Dunn, 91.39%
8. Kim Kardashian, 91.28%
9. Indian actress Deepika Padukone, 91.22%
10. HoYeon Jung from "Squid Game", 89.63%
If you're wondering who has the most attractive individual features, Beyoncé wins overall face shape, while Jodie Comer has the best nose. Bella Hadid has the most perfect eyes and chin, and Deepika Pudakone is the eyebrow queen.
Zendaya has the best lips and forehead.
