Mental Floss has a list of what a gallon of gas cost in the year you were born.

These are the flat numbers and do not include state tax, environmental rules, and shipping distances.

The list starts in 1955 where it was 30 cents (adjusted to today's dollars $3.69)

1960 - 69 - 31 - 35 cents ($3.51 - $3.19)

1970 - 79 - 36 - 90 cents (there was and energy crisis) ($3.11 - $4.15)

1980 - 89 - $1.25 - $1.02 (gotta love that trend)(5.08 - $2.76)

1990 - 99 - $1.16 - $1.17 ($2.97 - $1.17)

2000 - 2009 - $1.51 - $2.49 ($1.51 - $3.67)

2010 - 2019 - $2.79 - $2.64 ($4.29 - $3.46)

2020 - 2025 - $2.17 - $3.10 ($2.81 - $3.23)

We won't even discuss this year!!!

Billy Joel said in an Oct. 15 interview with The Hollywood Reporter that his doctors have advised him against performing and driving. He needs additional testing to determine whether he can return following his diagnosis of normal pressure hydrocephalus.

Joel explained that the condition "affects your balance, it affects your memory, it affects your vision, your hearing," but that he's still doing fine.

"What the neurologist told me, every time you do a show, it's like you're getting a concussion," Joel explained when opening up about why he was advised to stop performing.

"I'm OK. I just want people to know, don't worry about me," he said. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm still here."

Idaho record-breaker David Rush has added another unusual achievement to his collection: catching 20 paper airplanes in his mouth in just 60 seconds. His 13-year-old niece threw the planes during the attempt, proving that family bonding can take some pretty unexpected forms. It's a record that sounds easy until you consider how much a paper airplane can sting when it hits you in the face.
