Did your parents ever have a bizarre house rule growing up?
People online are sharing the ones from their family. Here are the highlights:
"No turning on the lights during thunderstorms." (didn't have that one, but don't use running water or the phone)
"No wearing clothing with 'faces' on them . . . so no Mickey Mouse shirts, no kitty-cat shirts, nothing. Either plain shirts with no graphics on them or it had to be of something not alive, like a soccer ball, a pumpkin, or something."
"We had to drink a huge glass of milk every morning as a kid, because my parents believed it would make us grow tall. But I was lactose intolerant, so it just ended up making me feel really nauseous."
"We had one drink cup by the kitchen sink. If you're thirsty, you use that cup and put it back for other family members. We'd wash it in the dishwasher every two days or so."
"No stepping on the bathmat with wet feet." (what is it there for then?)
"The curtains had to be opened first thing in the morning so the neighbors wouldn't think we slept in."
"We weren't allowed to walk from the bathroom to our bedrooms after a shower in just a towel. Even if no one else was there besides family."
"I wasn't allowed to watch anything that depicted a dysfunctional family . . . maybe in case I realized that was us."
"I had to bring home the plastic sandwich bags from my school lunch to be used again the next day. They were washed and dried overnight."
"I wasn't allowed to invite a friend over for a second time until THEY invited me over to THEIR house. My mom kept track of how many times I invited friends over and demanded they reciprocate before I could invite them again."

World Egg Day was yesterday.

84% of Americans like or love eggs, according to a recent poll, and just 3% of us fully hate them.
Scrambled is the most popular way to eat eggs.
Fried (over easy is the most popular)
Hard-Cooked
Ketchup on eggs? A full third of us are now on board with it. 32% of Americans say they "like" or "love" ketchup on eggs.
With that - we head to food debates.
Is a hot dog a sandwich? 40% say yes, 53% say no. The other 7% still haven't made up their mind.
Is a hamburger a sandwich? 73% think it is.
Is chili a soup, a stew, or neither? Stew wins with 60% of the vote. 23% said neither, and 18% think chili is soup. (then it's made wrong)
How should a sandwich be cut in half? 29% said vertically . . . 49% said diagonally . . . and 22% said neither.
Is coleslaw a salad? 67% think it counts, yes.
Pineapple on pizza? 48% of us like or love it now. So it's gone mainstream.
Is leftover pizza better warm or cold? 28% prefer it cold.
When pouring a bowl of cereal, do you pour the milk or cereal first? Only 4% of us go milk first.
Best brownie, edge piece or middle piece? 45% said edge of the pan, and 39% said middle. The other 16% are happy with any brownie.

I see the live action How to Train Your Dragon is streaming now, and a different studio - Disney is developing "Tangled", and they've got their eye on Scarlett Johansson for evil Mother Gothel.
Disney had been working on "Tangled" for a while, but they put it on hold after their live-action "Snow White" tanked. But the success of "Lilo & Stitch" and "Mufasa: The Lion King" got things moving again.
A live-action "Moana" is coming out next July.
