Bonus Releases - 1977, 1982, 1987, and 2002

45 Years Ago - 1977

Paul Simon released his first Greatest Hits (Etc.) album. The album had two new songs, with "Slip Sliding Away" making #5 on the Hot 100 and #4 AC. The Oak Ridge Boys do the backing vocals.

Blue Oyster Cult released their fifth album Spectres. The album featured a Rock Radio staple "Godzilla." (we kind of played this at my High School radio station for the secretary of the radio room.)

40 Years Ago - 1982

Night Ranger released their debut album Dawn Patrol. "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" reached #40 on the Hot 100 and #4 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Eddy Grant released his sixth album Killer on the Rampage featuring his everlasting 80s hit "Electric Avenue." The song refers to Electric Avenue in London, and to the 1981 Brixton riot in the Brixton district of the city.

It was a #2 smash #18 R&B #6 Club #12 Rock Tracks.

35 Years Ago - 1987

Madonna released her first remix album You Can Dance.

"Spotlight" was only released in Japan, but garnered enough radio play to make #32 on the Radio Songs chart and #15 on the Hot Crossover 30.

10 Years Ago - 2002

Deborah Cox released her third album The Morning After. It included "Absolutely Not" which appeared on the Dr. Dolittle soundtrack. Hex Hector's Chanel Mix was a #1 Club hit.

This is still a fierce club hit today.

Kelly Osbourne released her debut album Shut Up. The album featured a cover of Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach" and European single "Shut Up." "Changes" did make the Club chart in America making #43.
