Looks like Miley Cyrus is entering a new era.

She updated her website on Sunday from mileycyrus.com to mileyofficial.com, dropping her last name as she enters a new era.
And yesterday, she has changed her social media handle to match as she's now simply 'miley' on Instagram.
It seems to have been in the works, as she had considered dropping the surname back in 2013, as she wanted to distance herself from her past somewhat.
Not her real name, but her mom said "She always smiled when she was little, so we would call her smiley Miley, and it just stuck."

Police in Montclair, California, are investigating a bizarre double-heist where thieves made off with more than 34,000 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon and Old Milwaukee beer from a distribution warehouse. The suspect allegedly posed as an authorized freight driver using forged documents to haul away over 40,000 pounds of cargo. Taking the incident in stride, the brewery posted a countdown clock on social media offering a cash reward for the return of their missing truckload.
Honestly, if you're going to steal anything, why not make it something worthwhile?

A growing workplace and lifestyle movement is seeing commuters completely ditching music, podcasts, and news during their morning drive in favor of total silence. Wellness experts report that starting the day with 20 to 30 minutes of intentional quiet reduces early morning cortisol spikes and improves focus before stepping into the office.
I feel attacked!!!

It's back to school time, and it seems the government doesn't care about education, with cuts all the time. Here's a feel good story about a caring community member.
A generous local benefactor in Palm Beach County Florida stepped forward to eliminate all outstanding school lunch balances for thousands of elementary and middle school students right as the new school year gets underway.
“Food is something that you shouldn’t have to think about,” Andrew Levy told WPEC TV News.
So he gave the Jupiter Public School district a check for $944.34.
Levy’s single act of generosity soon created a chain reaction of kindness.
After his payment brought all the overdue accounts back to zero, the real estate agent posted about the issue on Facebook—and hundreds of people commented, asking if they could contribute next time.
Levy decided to start a quarterly fund to stay on top of any future debt so it never accumulates—and students can be on top of learning, without being hungry.
We honestly shouldn't have to do this as schools should be funded well and education should be a priority!

Dale "Grey Beard" Sanders has officially reclaimed his world record by becoming the oldest person to complete the 2,190-mile Appalachian Trail at age 91. Sanders previously held the title in 2017 before it was broken, prompting him to lace up his hiking boots once more to take back his crown.
How many steps did you do today?

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - The United States Congress officially created the Department of the Treasury, paving the way for the nation's financial system and appointing Alexander Hamilton as its very first Secretary. He is on your $10 bill.
