Giant pandas are officially off the endangered list after the global population climbed 17 percent in a decade. That came out of habitat protection, breeding programs and a genuinely long stretch of international cooperation. Conservation wins on this scale do not come around often.

What's a food a lot of people assume is healthier than it really is?
Breakfast cereals
Fruit (it's a natural sugar....stop it)
Nutella. I've heard people comment that because it's hazelnut it's better. Brother, that stuff is actually more sugar-dense than just eating cake frosting.
Muffins, it’s cake with blueberries
Vitamin Water
Granola, for example, is "not healthy" if you're sitting on the couch watching TV. It's a great source of energy and mix of macros while you're on a trail.
Protein Bars as well. (just candy in gym clothes)
Salad ......with tons of high-calorie salad dressing
I remember when rice cakes were all the rage. Anything that tastes like it's made of styrofoam has to be healthy, right?
It basically metabolizes into sugar with little other nutritional benefit. (and that's my every morning breakfast with peanut butter)

Yesterday I told you that your car steering wheel is just plain filthy!
How do you keep it clean?
Start off by keeping your hands clean. - by the way, you should keep bottles of alcohol-based hand sanitizer in your glove box and out of direct sunlight.
Use the right cleaning materials - those designed specifically for cleaning car interiors not just all-purpose cleaners.
Get a steering wheel cover. But don't forget to wash it or clean it regularly.
When all else fails, and the rest of your car is a disaster, get a professional clean.

Transit workers and morning commuters in Memphis got quite the surprise when a pair of pygmy goats calmly trotted up the steps and boarded a public bus. The escapees had slipped out of a nearby backyard and decided to take a scenic tour of the city before local animal control stepped in to safely escort them back home.

Last week it was tall solar panels over crops in the desert. Now, Swiss engineers have installed removable solar panels directly between the rails on an active train line near Buttes, Switzerland. The low-profile panels sit flush so trains can pass over them safely while generating clean electricity for surrounding homes.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - It's the first week of the return of the NFL.
The Debut of Monday Night Football (1970): ABC launched its primetime sports broadcasting experiment with a game between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns, permanently transforming professional sports television into a grand weekly cultural event. The original broadcast booth featured an eccentric three-man crew consisting of Howard Cosell, Keith Jackson, and former NFL quarterback Don Meredith.
