According to a new poll, 55% of people say they "always" do their own laundry, while 5% never do their own laundry and say "someone else" always does it.

9% of people claim they "love" doing laundry, and another 23% say they "like it."  12% say they "dislike it," and another 5% admit to "hating it."

49% of people say they are totally neutral about doing laundry . . . but 77% of them care at least a little about HOW it's done.  So, they have opinions about mixing colors, temperatures, soaps, or dryer sheets.

According to a new poll on laundry, this is how often we wash things.

80% of people wash their underwear after wearing it ONCE.  Men were more likely than women to wear their underwear multiple times before washing it.  And overall, 5% wear their underwear "four or more times" before washing it.

55% of people wash their t-shirts after one use.  10% are willing to wear them "four or more times" before washing them.

29% of people wash their non-jean pants after one wear.  21% wear them "four or more times" before washing them.

19% of people wash their sweaters after one wear.  32% wear them "four or more times" before washing them.

16% of people wash their jeans after one wear.  36% wear them "four or more times" before washing them.

Chinese researchers have developed a prototype robot that can "see" and then pick up objects . . . like toys, bottles, and stuffed animals.  It can also respond to voice commands.

This probably sounds like great news to you.  In the future, a robot could tidy up your house BEFORE a Roomba vacuums it.  Even better:  No more stepping on random Legos.

The bad news for the pets and children in your home is:  This thing looks even more terrifying than a Roomba.  It isn't a humanoid robot . . . yet . . . but it's bulky, drives around on wheels, and has cameras, displays, robotic arms, lifting platforms, and "pneumatic flexible grippers."

For now, it can only pick up items that weigh around a HALF A POUND.  And it's unclear if this could be scalable . . . where it could be mass produced in a way that would make it affordable enough to be viable.

And it's looks?? Not quite Rosie the Robot from The Jetsons.

The name Karen has long been synonymous with entitled Boomer and Gen X women who give customer service workers a hard time and are quick to complain.

TikToker Erin Dieheart (@erindiehart) rallies their viewers to vote on several popular names for “millennial Karens.” (they've actually been trying since 2020)

(first of all..why do we need another name..Karen works so well)

“We know exactly who are the A-holes of our generation. Here are the names that keep popping up,” they say. “Ashley, Brittany, Heather, Amber, Tiffany, Jessica, Nicole, Becky, or Kelsey.”

Commenters overwhelmingly vote for “Ashley” and “Jessica,” with “Brittany” and “Heather” garnering several votes as well.

“ASHLEY WAS THE FIRST NAME I THOUGHT OF,” one commenter writes.

Carrie Underwood is coming back for her 13th year at "Sunday Night Football" on NBC.

It's the 20th anniversary of the show, so it's a pretty big deal.  Here's what Carrie said, "We had a blast shooting the new opening again.  I can't wait for the world to see it."

You can listen to Carrie sing it again during week one of "Sunday Night Football", which kicks off September 7th.  It will be the Baltimore Ravens versus the Buffalo Bills.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Greenland doesn't have much vegetation . . . it got its name from Nordic settlers who wanted to trick people into moving there.
