Yesterday was National Relaxation Day! A study found that 42% of our day should go toward rest and relaxation. That's about 10 hours each day. Eight of that should be sleep, but it doesn't necessarily need to be consistent. So two hours of things like talking with your friends or partner, exercising, and eating.
Your body and mind need at least that much time to help you recharge and to avoid burning out.
So if you had a crazy week, try to fit in more downtime this weekend to make up for it.

In space news: NASA clocked the interstellar object that's zipping through our solar system at 130,000 miles an hour. That makes it the fastest we've ever seen. It's about 36 miles every second.

NASA noted that an image of the cosmic visitor indicated an unexpected glow appearing in front of the object, rather than trailing behind it — something he described as "quite surprising."
It should be close to us at the end of October.
The Harvard astronomer who thinks it's aliens says we should beam them a short message. His suggestion is, "Hello, welcome to our neighborhood. Peace."

Dora the Explorer turned 25 Thursday. Well, the show. She's still 7.
The first plan was for her to be a bunny in the woods (how would that have worked?) Other early ideas included making Dora a cat, and she almost had a "little mouse that lived in her pocket."

Reddit asked for the craziest excuses for missing work.
A guy didn't show up on Valentine's Day because he thought it was a federal holiday.
"I flushed my car keys down the toilet."
"Chipmunks filled my truck's engine with walnuts."
A woman with long nails shoved her finger up her nose while exfoliating and sliced it open.
Someone's coworker called out because she ran out of toilet paper.
A woman called off work because there was a big bug outside her door. But it turned out it was just a piece of string.
"I ate a whole log of cookie dough."
"I got bit on the finger by a squirrel while tossing a coffee cup into a parking garage trashcan."
"I can't work because Zayn left One Direction."

Stunned doctors found a man had been living with a large knife blade lodged in his chest for eight years.
The unnamed patient was having a discharge on his chest but reported no chest pain, difficulty breathing, cough or fever, and his vital signs were understood to be completely normal. It left doctors stumped – and it wasn't until the man recalled an incident which took place nearly a decade ago that they were able to put the pieces together.
During a “violent altercation”, he said he sustained multiple cuts to his face, back, chest, and abdomen, though doctors treated the wounds at the time. Apperantly, a knife blade entered his body and managed to dodge any major organs.

I talked about Tattoo Regret the other day, and there's a teacher translating bad chinese tattoos.
She says the Chinese words then translates what it means.
Like:
Refrigerator
low quality coal
more failure
soy sauce
odd
pee
i don't know, i don't speak chinese.
One is even gibberish
