Don't think that Taylor Swift is Queen??
Wednesday, 1.3 million fans tuned in to the Kelce Brothers podcast, "New Heights", live, to watch Taylor Swift, and it broke the internet.
About 1 hour and 44 minutes in, the screen went black and the "New Heights" social media account had to inform fans that they experienced a glitch and would be back shortly.
Takeaways from the podcast
Taylor shared the cover of her 12th album, "The Life of a Showgirl". It's available for preorder on her site. There's also a limited amount of four different CDs, each with a different cover and accessory, like a necklace or keychain.
She shared the 12-song tracklist, which includes a feature from Sabrina Carpenter. As well as the release date: It comes out October 3rd.
Travis says all 12 songs are bangers. Quote, "It's a lot more upbeat and it's a lot more like fun pop, like excitement. And so I think it's a complete 180 from a lot of the songs on 'Tortured Poets' for sure."
She's currently obsessed with making sourdough bread, and says she talks about bread 60% of the time now.

Someone polled thousands of people and asked what they're most likely to choose when playing Rock, Paper Scissors. And the most common answer by far was rock.
34% usually go with rock . . . 23% said scissors . . . and 20% said paper. So choosing paper on your first throw gives you the best odds of winning. The other 23% said they don't know what they usually go for, or they mix it up.

The same poll asked about two other games of chance, and the stats on those are interesting too.
Flipping a coin: Are you more likely to call heads or tails? 59% said heads, and just 21% said tails. 19% don't have a preference.
Choosing a number between 1 and 10: There's a clear winner. A whopping 36% said "7" is their go-to number.
So if you're the one asking, don't choose "7" unless you want them to guess it. The number "5" is a distant second with 12% of the vote.
If you want them to guess wrong, the best number to pick is "1." Only 1% of people said it's their go-to number. "10" is next at 2%.

The number of Americans who drink alcohol just hit a new all-time low.
A new Gallup poll released yesterday found just 54% of us sometimes have a drink or two. That's the lowest since Gallup started tracking it way back in 1939.
Back then, 58% said they drank, at least occasionally. Until now, the lowest was 55% in 1958.
America's drinking rate has been plummeting since the pandemic. In 2022, 67% said they were drinkers.
One reason for the decline is more people see it as a health risk now, and young people are a big part of that trend.
53% of Americans now think even moderate drinking is bad for your health, up from 28% a decade ago.
Not addressed, but I would be the legalization of pot has helped make a dent in drinking. Many prefer the high from marijuania to drinking.

A Gen Z'er posted a TikTok while walking out of a hotel, with the tagline: "Older generations: This is how you check out of a hotel. You just walk out." And people are arguing about the etiquette in the comments.
That may be TECHNICALLY true at a lot of places . . . but people in the comments are calling this RUDE.
One person says, "As a former housekeeper, it makes our jobs a lot easier if you're polite and let someone know."
Others say they let the staff know if they're leaving EARLY, but not if they're leaving AT the check-out time, because "what's the difference?"
Some people say you should always check-out at the front desk to get a receipt and make sure there weren't any additional charges . . . but THAT may be a bit of a Boomer take, since most places leave a receipt at your door, or have it sent digitally through email or an app.
Someone says they don't bother the front desk if they can check out in the app.
Finally, someone says, just let them know as you're walking out, it takes 10 seconds max.

A new study at U.C. Riverside in California found gossiping with your significant other can improve your relationship. Couples that gossip together tend to be happier and have better relationships overall.
76 couples wore special devices and agreed to have their conversations recorded throughout the day. About 14% of their entire day was taped.
Researchers found we spend an average of 38 minutes a day gossiping, and 29 of those minutes are spent gossiping WITH our significant other. So, they're our biggest partner in crime.
The researchers think gossiping together makes us closer because it's a form of emotional bonding. Or, it reinforces the idea that you're "on the same team."
It doesn't matter if it's positive or negative gossip: Quote, "Negatively gossiping with one's romantic partner on the way home from a party could signal that the couple's bond is stronger than with their friends at the party." And positive gossip "could prolong the FUN experiences [you had]."

Yesterday was National Tattoo Removal Day.
If you’re planning to get a tattoo, sleep on it. And not just for a night—at least a few months. That’s what was found when the website advanced dermatology found when they surveyed 600 people with tattoo regret. The big takeaway: 3 out of 4 people who suffer from “tattoo regret” didn’t plan for the tattoo beyond a few weeks.
First of all, of those surveyed 26% had one tattoo, 23% had 2, 21% had five or more!
A whopping 78% of those with only one had regrets.
Upper Back is the biggest regret.
Tribal Tattoos are the most regrettable.

Domino's became the first company to deliver a pizza by submarine, or technically, a "semi-submersible watercraft." They did it at Loch Ness. (because the monster wanted pick 2 and a parmesan stuffed crust and some wings)
Pizza Delivery Innovation Spokesperson at Domino’s Izzy Gardener commented: "We’re always looking for new and unexpected ways to deliver to our customers, and this summer we wanted to make a splash with another revolutionary delivery.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - The "Get Out of Jail Free" card from Monopoly was a real thing. In England in 1567, there was a lottery to raise money for the navy, and the winner got a "get out of jail free" card to excuse them from everything but the most serious crimes.
