Global meta-analyses show that roughly 10.6% of the global population is left-handed, and ambidextrous individuals represent about 1%.
Males are about 23% more likely to be left-handed than females.
Left-handers are overrepresented in high-speed, one-on-one sports like baseball, tennis, fencing, and cricket. For example, around 30% of elite baseball pitchers are left-handed, partly because opponents are less accustomed to reacting to left-handed angles.

What are the most popular car colors in America?
White is the most popular car color, with 25.7% market share, followed closely by black and gray.
Gray made the biggest gain in popularity over the past 30 years, rising from 3.6% market share in 1996 to 22.9% in 2025.
Grayscale colors (white, black, gray, and silver) now make up 80.4% of the car market, up from 47.3% in 1996.
Red and green now appear on fewer than one in 10 vehicles, with their combined market share falling from 33.5% in 1996 to 9.2% in 2025.
Grayscale colors are most popular in the truck category, with 83.5% market share.
The most colorful category is sports cars, with 36.2% market share for non-grayscale colors.

The other day was National S'Mores Day. According to Suzanne Prusche, Hershey’s vice president of confection marketing, Americans devour an estimated 2.5 billion s'mores every year. Naturally, Hershey wants to capitalize on every single sticky finger. Championing making them in the air fryer, microwave or toaster oven.
Hershey launched its "heated debate" campaign, pitting "Camp Toasty" against "Camp Gooey." In a shocking revelation of the American psyche, 69% of Americans belong to Camp Toasty, preferring their marshmallows “either like flaming hot or at least very charred.” Eating carbonized sugar is certainly a choice, but Prusche remains diplomatic: “I'm still in Camp Gooey, where I like it nice and gooey, but not so charred.”

The Corning Classic is returning to the LPGA Tour schedule in 2027 after an 18-year absence, going from a popular small-market event in western New York to offering a $5 million purse that ranks among the richest outside the majors.
The tournament had a 31-year run through 2009 until it did not renew because the economy was in a downturn and LPGA leadership at the time was demanding more from its sponsors.
Now it will be known simply as "The Classic" when it gets back its familiar spot on the calendar the last week in May.
This is huge news for the area!!!!
