3. The Fantastic Four: First Steps $15.5M

4. The Bad Guys 2 $10.4M

AskReddit asked, "You're on a 12-hour road trip, and can only listen to one singer, who are you listening to?"  And here were some of the most popular responses . . .

David Bowie.  "You won't run out of songs, that's for sure."

Paul McCartney.  Speaking of not running out of material, this is about a singer, so with Paul you'd get a big chunk of The Beatles, plus Wings.

Chris Cornell.  You could go through Soundgarden and Audioslave.

Pink Floyd.  David Gilmour has some solo work you could add to the mix.

Tom Petty.

Johnny Cash.

Paul Simon.

Led Zeppelin.  That's Robert Plant.  You could add some Alison Krauss?

Prince.

Queen.  That's Freddie Mercury.

Radiohead.  That's Thom Yorke.

Ozzy Osbourne Talk about being on a Crazy Train

Pearl Jam.  That's Eddie Vedder.  Although for a very specific voice like Eddie, 12 hours might be a lot . . . even if you're into the later stuff.

Taylor Swift.  On the flipside, Taylor offers some vocal variety.

Beck.  And Beck offers plenty of musical variety . . . similar to those old-schoolers from the '60s, '70s, and '80s who were in multiple bands.

Michael Jackson.

Beyoncé.

Dave Matthews.

Drake.

Morgan Wallen.  Does he have enough material for 12 hours?

"Weird Al" Yankovic.  A lot of people did mention him, actually.

One person said, "Depends . . . do I like the people I'm with?  If I don't, then Barry Manilow."

This must be a joke:  Quote, "I was driving to San Francisco from Las Vegas with my cousin.  There and back, about nine hours each way, with one CD . . .

"Well, she thought it was a CD.  It was a single.  One song.  Nickelback, 'How You Remind Me'.  When we realized it was only a single, we went for it!!  That's all we listened to the entire time, both ways . . .

"Now I have a strange reaction to it when it comes on somewhere."

In the Wizard of Oz, we follow the yellow brick road. But have you ever noticed that there is a red brick road as well???

ree

It is really never addressed inthe books, but one of the crazy theories about it, is that it leads to Willy Wonka's Factory.

The Wizard’s son Willy goes searching for him in all sorts of strange lands, eventually ending up in Munchkinland himself, where he learns the secrets of candy trees and establishes the Lollipop Guild. He uses those fantastical methods to soar to the top of the candy game, finds comfort in his father’s approval, and installs two roads leading from Munchkinland: One to the Emerald City of his father, and one to the factory he owns.

Bed Bath & Beyond relaunches with brick and mortar in Nashville.

The bankrupt home goods chain is returning as Bed Bath & Beyond Home, with a storefront opening in Nashville yesterday. The original company filed for bankruptcy in April 2023, after which The Brand House Collective acquired its intellectual property. The new owners plan to open dozens more locations nationwide if the Nashville launch proves successful. In a nod to nostalgia, Bed Bath & Beyond Home will accept expired 20% off coupons, which the original stores were known for.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - When the movie "Bad Boys" was first being developed, the plan was to have Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey as the stars.  After some rewrites and changes to the film, it wound up being Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
