July is National Hot Dog Month!
The term “hot dog” emerged in the 19th century when German immigrants gave America the dachshund sausage, named for its long shape resembling dachshunds, amusingly called wiener dogs. Hot dogs were popularized in America during the 1870s at New York’s Coney Island before becoming a household name two decades later when they began selling at baseball games.

"American Ninja Warrior" could be headed to the Olympics.
The Japanese company that invented the "Ninja Warrior" franchise announced yesterday that the obstacle course could become a part of the Modern Pentathlon at the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.
The Pentathlon is made up of five events. Currently, those events are the very complimentary and not at all random disciplines of fencing, swimming, equestrian show jumping, laser pistol shooting, and running.
But after the 2024 games in Paris, they're going to start testing a "Ninja Warrior" course as a possible replacement for the equestrian portion.
If that's the case...How about Wipe Out as an Olympic Sport?

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - The word "selfie" was used for the first time on an online message board in Australia in 2002. A guy posted a photo of his lip after he cut it drinking at a friend's 21st birthday party.
