People are getting really weird with kids names now.

A woman shared a text online, where her older cousin told her she's settled on a baby name for her girl, and it's VASELINEA . . . like the petroleum jelly.

The woman sent back a photo of Vaseline, and asked, "Like this thing?"  And the mother said, "Yesss, [but] I wanted that 'nia' sound at the end."

And she said it's pronounced "vah-suh-lee-nia."

The mother's fallback name was apparently "Serena," but she said Vaselinea, quote, "sounds more elegant."

This is becoming a slippery slope!!!! Stop!

Golf's Open Championship is going, MLB's second half is underway, and the WNBA All-Star Game is Saturday.  So, lots of sports on TV, and don't feel guilty about watching.

"The Huffington Post" did a story on how watching sports can be good for you.  Here are three ways it can boost your mental health.

1.  You get a dopamine hit.  That's the "feel-good" hormone.  "The brain's reward pathway is activated, leading to increased levels of dopamine, endorphins, [and] serotonin."

2.  It instills a feeling of community.  Especially if you're watching with other people.  But even if you're alone on the couch, it makes you feel like you're part of something.

3.  It's a healthy distraction.  As one expert put it, sports can "help distract us and offer an outlet from other daily stressors at work or home."

So, the next time you're screaming at a ref through the TV . . . pat yourself on the back for prioritizing your mental health.

Unless you are like a former co-worker of mine who will someday have a heart attack watching the Bills. Dude..settle down!!!!!

Americans are opting to repair and replace over buying new.

That’s according to new research of 2,000 Americans that found 80% U.S. adults say that taking better care of their things and doing more DIY and household repair helps them feel more in control when their finances feel unpredictable.

Faced with rising prices, more than half of Americans are choosing repair and regular maintenance over replacing household items.

61% said they're doing it to save money, 33% admit thay simply can't afford to replace the item.

81% of Gen Z and 75% of millennials said they feel confident fixing things around the house, that number drops to just 53% for baby boomers.

People are going for natural products for cleaning as well.

A majority (71%) said they actively look for natural or non-toxic cleaning products, especially among millennials and Gen Z, who are also more likely to clean less due to fears about chemicals (44% and 51%, respectively).

And they’re not just thinking about what they clean with, but why they clean in the first place. Reasons for using natural products range from protecting family and pets (34%) to simply liking a fresher, more pleasant scent (23%).

Still, tension lingers in households: 53% admit they’ve redone a chore someone else already completed because it didn’t meet their standards.

Despite the occasional redo, most people feel domestically competent (65%), and 64% are even passing their skills down, teaching children or younger people to repair instead of replace.

Talker Research is behind this data.

National Tattoo Day was the other day, and there's a new alternative that has some Doctors warning you not to do it.

It's Freeze Branding, tattooing human skin with icy-cold liquid nitrogen,

A dermatologist said, “Friendly reminder, you are not a horse.”

So just say Neigh!

also known as cryo-branding — is a technique involving a cryogenic coolant,  instead of heat, to destroy the pigment cells and hair follicles of an animal, leaving a lasting logo.

Etsy may be known for handcrafted jewelry, custom gifts and artisanal décor — but it’s also become a popular marketplace for witches, psychics and spiritualists offering spells, charms and metaphysical services online.

According to The Wall Street Journal, so-called “Etsy witches” are selling everything from love spells and spirit cleansings to soulmate sketches and good luck rituals.

A quick search of Etsy reveals hundreds of spell-based listings, from soulmate drawings to $23.99 tarot card readings. Some argue the prices seem steep, while others say it’s all in good fun — or, in some cases, surprisingly accurate.

My horoscope today said I should do it!

It's been a while since I've talked about couple sleeping trends, but one of them was couple that sleep in seperate bedrooms...for various reasons. Nothing wrong with it..snoring, temperature, stealing covers..and What time people go to bed.

In a new survey conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of Mattress Firm,

only 37% of couples who share a bed say they go to sleep at the same time.

Tech in the bedroom continues to cause friction. 49% of Americans, including 54% of men, wish they had a "no screens in bed" rule.

Not all is lost though

Married people overwhelmingly agree that better sleep leads to better relationships: 69% say cuddling helps them fall asleep.

94% say it helps them be more patient and loving, 84% feel more emotionally connected when they share a bed.

You'll be up for days!!!!
You'll be up for days!!!!

Viral “coffee buckets” are all over TikTok and Instagram. It’s a coffee-filled bucket with a handle and a straw stuck in the top. The trend started on the West Coast in March and quickly spread across the nation.

Contents of the 34-ounce-ish bucket are infinitely variable, but a standard preparation contains around six shots of espresso topped with ice and milk. The trending bucket goes for around $10, which people say is a deal when a single latte can cost upwards of $6.

@melexplainsitall tried the beach bucket at a seaside coffee spot and said, “Oh my god, that’s so good—tastes like summer.”

@uncle7emily replied, “I’d need a beach bathroom immediately.”

Another commenter warned, “This amount of coffee would send me into an absolute panic attack.”

A tractor-trailer hauling a load of milk overturned in New York's Columbia County, resulting in what the local sheriff's office described as a "significant spill."

The clean-up operation involved New York State Police, the Columbia County Haz-Mat Team, a Department of Environmental Conservation Response Team and the Mellenville and Ghent Fire Companies.

(i guess hazmat because...they can handle large spills??? It's milk for heaven's sake)

The real question for this story is...did anyone cry over it??? There's no need for that!
