National Gingerbread Day - because why wait till the holidays. Good all year, but who eats it now?

In the 16th century, Queen Elizabeth I is credited with the idea of decorating gingerbread cookies to look like the dignitaries visiting her court.

National Doughnut Day - Celebrated on the first Friday in June to honor the volunteers who served doughnuts to soldiers during WWI.

Doughnut Holes weren’t always a thing. But the hole came around in 1847, a sailor named Hanson Gregory claimed he invented the hole because he hated that the center of his fried cakes was always raw.

Two sets of brothers will be competing against each other at the Belmont Stakes 2026 on Saturday, June 6. Renegade and Commandment, both sons of Into Mischief, as well as Powershift and Chief Wallabee, both sired by Constitution, are in the 2026 Belmont Stakes field.

Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo and it doesn't look like the Preakness Stakes winner Napoleon Solo is running.

Two business names are running though, Emerging Market and Growth Equity.

New this weekend at the Box Office. It's a jammed packed weekend with the Horror films Obsession and Backrooms I'm sure holding strong.

Masters of the Universe - the legendary cartoon is live action!

Scary Movie - The Core Four are back twenty-six years later spoofing everything!

The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act - "The viral internet sensation comes to its long-awaited conclusion in a feature-length theatrical release! This “Last Act” combines episode 8 with the all new, hour long episode 9 for fans to see before anyone else in the world.

YouGov.com did a ranking of condiments and based on recent surveys, the following condiments are among the favorites of Americans:

(it seems a loose definition of condiment)

2. Honey 40%

3. Salsa 37%

4. Barbecue Sauce 34%

5. Chocolate Sauce 33%

6. Ketchup 33%

7. Maple Syrup 32%

8. Jam or Jelly 32%

10. Mayonnaise 30%

A survey finds while Americans aren’t too fond of instant coffee, Europeans, Central and South Americans, Australians, New Zealanders, and Asians all love it.

It is often pre-mixed with creamer and sugar, making it convenient and appealing.

Only about 6% of Americans regularly consume instant coffee, reflecting its niche status in the market.

It is often perceived as lower quality compared to other coffee options.

Maybe it is.

Instant coffee in the U.S. is typically made from Robusta beans and uses freeze-drying or spray-drying methods, while in other countries it may use Arabica beans and different drying techniques, resulting in variations in flavor, caffeine content, and preparation methods.

During the Women's College World Series, viewers learned about one of the strangest sports superstitions of the year. Texas softball player Hannah Wells reportedly believes eating a ladybug brings good luck, a habit she says dates back to childhood. The revelation quickly became a social-media sensation as Texas advanced to the championship series.

On reddit someone asked: What’s the fastest way a man can ruin his life? There are hundreds of comments, but this is the winner: “Telling someone to hold his beer.”

Other answers, Drugs/booze, cheating, gambling, and Simply being laid off in today's economy should suffice.
