What's the best drink for this hot weather?
A doctor in the U.K. is trending because she said MILK is the perfect drink for hot weather.
It's 87% water, but takes longer to digest because of the sugar, protein, and fat. So it keeps you hydrated longer than water does.
It's also got sodium to help your body hold onto the water. Or in other words, it's packed with electrolytes.
If you're vegan or can't drink regular milk, she says soy milk works too.

People online are talking about the "now-obsolete" skills that adults of a certain age will "never forget," even though they're no longer needed.
Programming a VCR. And someone who was once the manager at a Blockbuster says they'll never forget how to repair VHS tapes with a splicer.
Setting up two VCRs so that you can make a copy of a movie from the video store.
Rewinding cassettes with a pencil.
Loading a 35-millimeter camera . . . and even developing the film.
Driving a stick shift.
Using a "Thomas Guide" map book to find a street or location. You'd look up the street in the back to find which page and which grid space it was at.
Running programs in MS-DOS.
Making brown paper bag book covers for schoolbooks.
Writing a check.
"Pinning a diaper on a baby without sticking them with the pin."
Someone joked, "I have Jenny's number memorized."

In a survey of 625 people across 91 countries, 91% reported that waiting for others to receive their food before eating is expected in their culture.
When you're the person with food in front of you, you might feel uncomfortable about being watched while eating . . . guilty about seeming inconsiderate . . . or anxious about appearing rude. So, it's easy to follow the norm and wait.
But when you see someone else in the same situation, you can't process the intensity of that emotion. You might sense them feeling awkward, so you say, "It's no big deal . . . start before it gets cold."
The study found that many people hold themselves to stricter standards than they expect from others. And it isn't just your preference.

Someone went on social media, and asked a simple question: "To the people who wear hoodies when it's 90 degrees outside . . . WHY?"
Some people had REAL answers, like they want to protect their skin, or they're more comfortable in bulky clothing because they're insecure about their body.
Other people had more UNIQUE reasons, like:
"I always wear it. It's like a security blanket thing."
"I'm trying to hide my (body).
"I don't want to get bit by bugs, especially mosquitos."
"Everybody is blasting so much AC that it makes me cold."
"My inner thermostat is broken, and I'm literally always cold."
"It's cool . . . It's punk . . . Or 'it's a youth street culture thing.'"
"My hoodies look awesome."
"Because I want to walk the dog without throwing a bra on every time."
"I don't know. Why do people wear shorts in 30-degree weather?"

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - There are 1,600 Chili's locations around the world . . . and apparently, all of them have a picture hanging upside down somewhere in the restaurant. They say it's for good luck.
