What’s the dumbest question you ever heard? What the internet said:
- A former coworker told me that they did a study that proves that exercise kills you faster because you’re “overworking your body.”
- A friend said, “We don’t need farmers anymore; we can just buy food at the grocery store.”
- An adult family member of mine: “The sun and moon must be the same size because they look about the same size in the sky.”
- I was walking around the ruins of the ancient cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde just outside of Mancos, Colorado, (where the Ancient Puebloans lived from approximately 550 A.D. to 1300 A.D.) when a visitor asked the tour guide:
"Why did they build their homes so far from the highway?"
I met a guy a few years later who had also worked there as a tour guide. I told him the story, and he said, "That is probably our most frequently-asked question."
- My sister once asked why Maury only does paternity tests? Like, are they ever going to do some maternity test episodes??? So unfair.
(I actually asked someone I know (and yes I was kidding) who was pregnant and said it was a Grassroots Festival baby (conceived at a like of hippy event) if she was sure she was the mother.)
- I once had a coworker who believed the dinosaurs didn't exist, as the Bible doesn't mention them. On a funnier note, he also took thought right twix and left twix were actually 2 separate products that were made differently.

Twix aren’t mentioned in the Bible either.

A night-time burglar screwed up in Holland when he flushed the toilet. The noise woke a dog, which started barking, which alerted the occupants. The family found the thief had fled their home, leaving a few drawers and the back door open, but in his hurry to escape, he didn’t have time to take anything from the house.

The cultural obsession with working late and bragging about sleep deprivation is officially dead, replaced by a massive health movement called "sleepmaxxing." Driven heavily by Gen Z and younger corporate workers, the ultimate social status symbol is now being sound asleep by 10:00 PM. This lifestyle shift has completely re-shaped consumer spending, triggering massive sales spikes for heavy linen bedding, blue-light-blocking window films, and curated "wind-down protocols" that treat physical recovery like a high-stakes competitive sport.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - When you use aluminum foil, do you put the food on the shiny or dull side?
The way it’s made, the shiny side is polished by rollers and the other is dull due to contact with each other.
But the question is, does the side of the foil matter in cooking?
Both sides are pretty much the same when cooking, so it’s a personal preference.
The shiny side is prettier and makes an appealing appearance.
The dull side is a bit rougher and has a better grip for wrapping foods.
