There's a new Pope, and he's American!

The election of 69 year-old Robert Francis Prevost, who chose the name Leo XIV, as the 267th leader of the Roman Catholic Church marks two historic firsts. Leo is the first-ever U.S.-born pope to lead the church and the first pope from the Augustinian order.
The conclave ended after the second day of voting on Thursday, marking one of the shortest conclaves in history.

"Women of Reddit, what’s something you stopped pretending to enjoy after turning 30?"
"Staying out late. I love being home at a reasonable hour." (wait..the evening doesn't start till 8? Are you crazy?)
"Books that I'm not enjoying. I used to force myself to read at least half of a book before deciding it's not for me, but who has time to waste on something they're actively disliking?!" (I still hate read and hate watch things..I have to finish)
"Alcohol! I never enjoyed it or the effects of it. After 30, I just stopped drinking unless I really wanted one, not because it was the 'social' thing."
"Male attention."
"Investing in people who don’t reciprocate your energy."
"Staying for the full duration for social functions. I used to never leave things early unless I had somewhere else to be, and even if I was tired or not feeling it, I would still hang around to appear polite. Now? When I'm not having fun anymore, I peace out. I can get tired and overstimulated pretty easily, even among people I enjoy, so now I have no problem calling it a night when I reach that point." (I love the Irish Goodbye in some situations..don't tell anyone and just leave)
"Sleepovers. I want my own bed and my full skincare routine at my disposal."

A 68-year-old woman in Switzerland was in court yesterday, accused of repeatedly feeding "Leo" . . . her neighbor's cat . . . over a 10-month period.
The woman lives in the same building as Leo . . . and she hasn't JUST been feeding Leo, she has let him into her apartment, and she even added a cat flap to her door so that Leo could come and go as he pleases.
Leo's owner was not cool with this, and things escalated over those 10 months. Naturally, the biggest issue was that Leo liked his new digs and never wanted to go home.
Under Swiss law, cats are "other people's property," and systematic feeding and giving a home to another person's cat is considered "unlawful appropriation."
The woman is facing several fines, which have exceeded $5,000.
