Okay, this one is definitely weird — and a little unsettling. A family in California was enjoying a perfectly normal Easter egg hunt at a local park when they made a gruesome discovery: possible human remains. Police have cordoned off the area and are investigating. It's a reminder that not every Easter egg hunt ends with chocolate bunnies and jelly beans. No word yet on whether anyone found the golden egg.

A Michigan bakery’s attempt at an April Fool’s joke backfired (just a bit) after customers began requesting the hideous cake they had jokingly advertised on social media.

Just days before Easter, however, the bakery took to Instagram to tease a holiday-themed “lamb cake” — albeit a rather off-putting cake they never actually intended to sell.

The image of the fictional offering — created using AI — depicted a bug-eyed cake in the vague shape of a buck-toothed lamb, covered with globs of brownish-gray frosting fleece.

It was, admittedly, a “creepy” image, the bake shop later admitted, and most

realized it was a joke.

BUT

actually started getting requests for the much uglier version. Staats said she “leaned into the demand” by creating an alternate version of the shop’s lamb cake — one that more closely resembled the grayish, bug-eyed treat from her AI image.

“Many customers are telling us they want one for next Easter,” she told SavorNation. “We’ll be better prepared next time.”

Forget a glass of warm milk—the April 2026 food trend is "Sleep Support Ice Cream." Brands like Snooz are going viral for treats infused with magnesium and chamomile. It’s part of the $500 billion "Wellness Snack" boom where we expect our junk food to actually solve our biological problems.

Analog is the new luxury. Balmuda's "The Clock" is trending today—it has no hands and no screen, using only light and sound to wake you up. It’s part of the "Anti-Device" movement where people are paying premium prices to have fewer screens in their bedrooms.

(This would help with my not wanting to look at the time when i get up in the middle of the night to pee.)

TikTok is obsessed with Color Hunting. The challenge is simple: pick a color (like "Sky Blue" or "Butter Yellow") and spend your day photographing everything you find in that shade. The final 3x3 grid makes your life look like a curated Wes Anderson movie. It’s the ultimate "romanticize your life" trend of the week.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - A day on Venus is longer than a year on Venus. It takes about 243 Earth days for the planet to complete one rotation, but only 225 Earth days to orbit the Sun.
