Jay North, who starred as the young mischief maker on the 1959-63 CBS comedy Dennis the Menace, has died. He was 73.

He often created chaos for his retired next-door neighbor (Mr.) George Wilson.

Big sports news in the world of hockey over the weekend

Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals.

He had his 895th goal of his regular season career which makes him the NHL's new all-time scoring leader after Wayne Gretzky, the "Great One," held the record for more than 30 years.

What does Wayne thing about all of this?

When Gretzky broke Gordie Howe's record, he was there. He said he doesn't remember exactly what Howe said to him other than, "I'm proud of you."

He does, however, remember exactly what his father, Walter, told him that night.

"My dad told me that same night, ‘Be as proud of the guy that breaks your record,’" Gretzky said. (he's a class act!!!)

After the new record goal, the two shared a handshake and a hug.

“I can tell you first-hand, I know how hard it is to get to 894,” Gretzky said. “895’s pretty special. My congratulations to not only Alex, his mom and dad, his family, his wife and kids. When I broke the record, my two kids were both the age of his boys, so it’s kind of reminiscent for me and I’m so happy that two of my boys are here tonight.

“There’s nothing better than the National Hockey League. They say records are meant to be broken, but I’m not sure who’s going to get more goals than that. It’s the greatest game in the world.”

Instacart released a list of the most popular Easter candies on their platform and surprisingly Peeps did NOT make the Top 10.

1.  Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs

2.  Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

3.  Cadbury Chocolate Mini Eggs

4.  Hershey's Milk Chocolate

5.  Cadbury Creme Eggs

6.  Sour Patch Kids

7.  Lindt Milk Chocolate Bunnies

8.  Starburst Jelly Beans

9.  Hershey's Milk Chocolate Candy Eggs

10.  Kinder Chocolate Candy Eggs, with toys inside.

Even though Peeps missed the Top 10 nationally, they're very popular in some areas of the country particularly in Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Other regional faves include:  Justin's Peanut Butter Cups in San Francisco . . . Whoppers' Malted Milk Balls in Phoenix . . . Cadbury Milk Chocolate Bars in New York City . . . and Cadbury Creme Eggs in Houston and Portland, Oregon.

Jelly beans are the top last-minute buy. They spike in popularity the DAY BEFORE Easter.  Around 35% of Americans say jelly beans are one of their favorite Easter candies.

Do you feel like your job isn't all that hard, but you're still burnt out?  You might actually have this instead.

The term "BOREOUT" is trending after "Forbes" did a story.  It has a lot of the same symptoms as burnout, but it's different.  Instead of feeling overwhelmed by work, you're underwhelmed and BORED by it.

It doesn't mean you're lazy or don't do much.  Boreout can happen because you're in the same role too long . . . don't see opportunities for growth . . . or don't interact with coworkers very much.

If you'd never heard of boreout, you're not alone.  But it's not a new term.  Mental health experts have been using it for a while.  The authors of a book called "Diagnose Boreout" coined it in 2007.

It's more common than it used to be, because we're more mentally "checked out" at work now.  And it's part of a larger issue called the "Great Detachment."

We feel less connected to our jobs and don't find as much purpose in them as we used to.

PAAS, the original Easter egg dye that has been around for 140 years, has long helped families celebrate their favorite Easter traditions, and according to the company, Americans purchase more than 16 million PAAS Easter egg kits each year.

With eggs so expensive you might be looking for alternatives, according to Good Morning America, many things can be dyed.

Food

Potatoes: Their smooth surface makes them an easy canvas for PAAS dyes. Boil them first for a softer texture, then dip or brush on color.

Marshmallows: Dip the marshmallow in dye for a beautiful watercolor effect. You can even use a toothpick or small brush to make fun designs.

Pasta: You can create intricate Easter jewelry or a garland by dying dry pasta shells.

Around the house

Coffee filters: Dip these into dye to create soft, tie-dye-style Easter butterflies or flowers for decorating.

Air-dried clay: The world is your oyster with clay -- you can turn it into anything before dying it, including egg shapes, the Easter bunny, flowers and more.

Fabric: Use the dye to tie-dye yarn, napkins, or even T-shirts for a festive twist.

I posted this back in January, time to revisit!

Reddit asked what are alternatives to dying Easter eggs?

When I was growing up, my mom would buy small plain terracotta pots for us to paint and then plant flowers and herbs in. It was always a fun springtime tradition to look forward to, and we still have many of them!

Decoupage with tissue paper and a glue/water mix!

Painting rocks

You could make bird seed ornaments together. You could use spring or Easter themed cookie cutters if you have them. They are easy to make but do take time to set. The good thing is that there’s fun in making them, hanging them, and then watching the birds they attract.

We were gifted a large amount of golf balls (“foraged” from many years of golfing) and are planning on letting kids paint those to “hide”
