It's a bit crazy to think that up until now, members of the Academy were NOT required to watch every Oscar-nominated film before voting.  But that will all change for next year's 98th Oscars.

A new rule requires voting members to watch all nominated movies in each category.  Although, it doesn't mention HOW the members will prove it.

The Academy also made a statement on A.I., saying that it'll, quote, "neither help nor harm the chances of achieving a nomination."

The next Oscars will take place Sunday, March 15th, 2026 with Conan O'Brien returning to host.

People on Reddit were naming the greatest one-liners in movie history, and Cracked.com compiled 23 of them.  Here are the highlights:

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the War Room!":  "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb".  (1964)

"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass.  And I'm all out of bubble gum.":  "They Live".  (1988)

"Roads?  Where we're going, we don't need roads.":  "Back to the Future".  (1985)

"I'll have what she's having.":  "When Harry Met Sally".  (1989)

Here's Looking at you, kid." Casablanca

Let's just say the quote from Die Hard...you know

"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.":  "Gone with the Wind".  (1939)

"You can't handle the truth!":  "A Few Good Men".  (1992)

"My name is Inigo Montoya.  You killed my father.  Prepare to die.":  "The Princess Bride".  (1987)

Yesterday was Earth Day, and according to a new report, the average American experiences 48 days of "eco guilt" every year.  If you break that down, we're feeling "eco guilt" four times a month . . . or almost once a week.

31% of people say they feel guilty about wasting food.

29% feel guilty about trashing items that could've been recycled.

27% feel guilty about leaving the TV on when they're not watching it.

Overall, 50% of people say they're more likely to do something that ISN'T environmentally friendly when they're rushed or stressed.  Like not recycling . . . avoiding single-use plastics . . . and bringing reusable bags, bottles, or containers when out shopping.

Despite these challenges, 73% of Americans say they wish they were more environmentally friendly than they are today . . . and 33% are actively looking for ways to reduce their "eco guilt."

Millennials and Gen Z'ers were more likely to feel eco guilt than older folks . . . and many say that might be because they grew up with more information on climate change and environmental issues.

A recent survey found that 31% of American adults hang onto old devices, because they aren't sure what to do with phones . . . video game consoles . . . laptops . . . cords . . . and other tech accessories they no longer use.

19% of people say they DO throw away old tech.

37% say they like to trade in their old electronics for an exchange or upgrade.  And 25% try to sell all their old tech.

30% say they give old devices away to friends and family whenever possible . . . and 17% have donated them to charity.

A study at Texas A&M found over 99% of dogs in the U.S. have behavior problems.

They collected data from more than 43,000 dogs of various breeds, ages, sizes, and locations.  The dogs were analyzed based on stuff like aggression . . . separation and attachment issues . . . fear and anxiety . . . and pooping or peeing inside.

In the end, there's only about a 1% chance you have a "perfect" dog.  "99.12% of dogs showed at least one behavior rated moderately serious, or serious . . . or at least two problems of moderate to serious intensity."

Separation and attachment behaviors were the most common.  Those things include:  Restlessness, pacing, following people around the house, sitting close to them, escape attempts, or barking and chewing items when left alone.

Aggression is next.  That includes growling, snapping, and biting.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - There are at least twice as many kangaroos in Australia as people.  There are about 50 million kangaroos and 25 million people.
