Pop icon Pink has been announced as the host of the 2026 Tony Awards, marking a rare occasion when someone from outside the Broadway community will helm the annual ceremony.
In a press release, Pink called it "the honor of an entire lifetime," adding, "Broadway has shaped my life and how I put my own shows together. These people give magic every single day." However, the three-time Grammy winner revealed she had to get permission from her 14-year-old daughter Willow, a Broadway and musical theater hopeful. "I've never been on Broadway, and shouldn't you have to have been on Broadway in order to host? That seems fair and right. But when I asked my daughter, she was really excited about being able to have a ticket to go to the Tonys, so I'm hosting the Tonys!"
The 79th Annual Tony Awards will take place at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7, 2026, airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+

A new Hisense study released today (April 9) reveals that 93% of U.S. consumers say the overall experience matters when entertaining at home, signaling a move toward more thoughtful, elevated nights in. And 78% say atmosphere plays an important role in a successful gathering.
56% of consumers say they host monthly
Almost 1 in 5 do so weekly or even more frequently
58% have hosted a sports watch party in the past year
Only 8% prefer watching at a bar or public venue
Just 5% prefer attending live events
What Could Ruin the Party:
35% of consumers said running out of cold drinks would ruin the experience. Nearly two-thirds said at least one home upgrade would make them feel more prepared to entertain, with cooling, cooking capacity, and storage leading the list
