35 Years Ago - 1991 Lenny Kravitz released his second album Mama Said. Of course, Mama is Roxie Roker that many know from The Jeffersons. "Always on the Run" co-written and featuring Slash, the song made #8 Alternative Airplay and #40 Mainstream Rock. "It Ain't Over 'til It's Over" written while dealing with a struggling marriage to his then wife, Lisa Bonet, and was an attempt to rekindle the relationship, it peaked at #2, #5 AC, #10 R&B. 40 Years Ago - 1986 New Kids on the Block released their sel-titled debut album. When it was originally released it didn't garner any attention. After the "Hangin' Tough" album "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind)" was released as a single. It is a remake of a Delfonics song from 1969 where it made #10 and #3 R&B. Their version made #8, #34 R&B, #12 AC in 1989. (Sorry fans..I think this is pure slop.)

40 Years Ago - 1986 Bob Seger released his thirteenth album Like a Rock. The album was going to be called by the first single "American Storm." It peaked at #13 and #2 Mainstream Rock. "Like a Rock" Peaked at #12, #21 AC, #1 Mainstream Rock. It also became the theme for a massive Chevrolet truck campaign from 1991 until 2004. "It's You" made #52, #22 AC, #8 Mainstream Rock. 20 Years Ago - 2006 Cascada released their debut album Everytime We Touch. German Euro Dance! "Miracle" peaked at #8 Dance Airplay. "Everytime We Touch" made #10, #28 AC, #1 Dance/Mix Show Airplay, #7 Pop Airplay. "Truly, Madly, Deeply" is a cover of the Savage Garden song and made #14 Dance/Mix Show Airplay. "Baby Baby" was a #1 smash at Hot 100 and AC, plus #23 Club. "Hope Set High" was released to the Contemporary Christian Charts and made #3 and #1 AC. "Every Heartbeat" peaked at #2 Hot 100 and AC. 45 Years Ago - 1981 Emmylou Harris released her eight album Evangeline. The album was a catch all for previously recorded but unreleased songs through the years. "Mr. Sandman" was from 1978 from a scrapped trio album with Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt. This version is all her though. It made #37, #8 AC, #10 Country. "I Don't Have to Crawl" made #44 Country.

45 Years Ago - 1981 Rick Springfield released his fifth album Working Class Dog. The dog on the cover is Rick's pet named Ronnie. The album also features Neil Giraldo who worked/married Pat Benatar. "Jessie's Girl" was one of the slowest climbs to #1 at the time. Taking 19 weeks and won the Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. It also made #10 Mainstream Rock. The biggest album of her career and self-produced.  "Caught a Lite Sneeze" made #60, #3 Adult Alternative Airplay, #13 Alternative Airplay.
