Today in Music History 1949 - Paging Dr. Noah Drake, Paging Dr. Drake. Rick Springfield is born in New South Wales, Australia.
He has been making music since 1971, but it wasn't until "Jessie's Girl" in 1981 that we really heard of him in this country.
His follow-up to that #1 was a song written by Sammy Hagar in 1978 (it didn't chart for him in the US), "I've Done Everything For You." It made #8.
Note: Neil Giraldo, Pat Benatar's soon-to-be husband, was guitarist and bassist on the album.
