George Lowe, a veteran voice actor whose credits include the title role in Space Ghost Coast to Coast, died on March 2 at age 67, a spokesperson confirms for TVLine.

“It’s a sad day at Williams Street,” says Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen, who was there for Space Ghost‘s launch and knew Lowe for decades. “You all knew him as Space Ghost (and all his other characters), but we knew him as himself, a true character in his own right, one that left an indelible mark on all of us at Adult Swim. Wherever you are, George, we hope you are getting enough oxygen.”

With inflation and interest rates trending upward in recent years, consumers are struggling, and financial experts are flooding the zone with cost-cutting tips.

As it turns out, many consumers have heard enough.

It’s advice fatigue.

Most Americans are tired of hearing helpful hints on how to balance their budgets, according to a new consumer survey from Wells Fargo.

The most hated is - Get a side hustle 44% are sick of hearing it.

Cook at home - again 44% are tired of it.

Stick to a budget

Stop buying fancy coffee drinks (even though it could save you $736 a year)

Has your boss asked you to send them an email detailing everything you did last week . . . or risk being terminated?  Well, maybe they're trying to sniff out TASK MASKING.

There's apparently a new workplace term kicking around called "task masking," which is where employees spend a lot of time and effort just trying to look like they're working hard.  When, in reality, they're hardly doing anything.

And, big surprise, it sounds like it's most popular with young, Gen Z workers.  There are videos on TikTok that offer advice for task masking.  Stuff like:  Walking fast with a laptop stuffed under your armpit . . . and typing really loud.

It sounds a little corny, but some managers are saying that it's a trend they're actually seeing trickle into their workforce.

But honestly, it's something that's ALWAYS been a thing that people do . . . now we just give everything names.  Remember "quiet quitting" and "quiet firing"?

Happiness sells.  But according to new research, "happiness" doesn't even buy happiness.

The idea is:  Trying too hard for maximum happiness might be making us miserable.  It drains our mental energy . . . leaving us with less willpower for other important tasks and decisions.  And it adds pressure.

That creates a snowball effect.  You decide to try making yourself feel happier . . . but then that effort depletes your ability to do the kinds of things that actually make you feel good, like being active, productive, and solving problems.

The researchers say you shouldn't give up on the pursuit . . . but chill out about it, and don't stress about being super happy all the time.  "Look at what you already have, and just accept it as something that gives you happiness."

Happy Unique Names Day!  Do YOU have a weird one?

The Social Security Administration tracks the 1,000 most popular boy and girl names each year.

They haven't released 2024 stats yet.  But the top names in 2023 were Liam, Noah, and Oliver for boys . . . and Olivia, Emma, and Charlotte for girls.  So those names aren’t unique right now.

But the other end of the list is where things get interesting.  If your name is down around 1,000, it's definitely unique.  The 1,000th most popular name for boys is Hollis.  And for girls, Aylani.

From that Top 1,000 list, here are the bottom 10 for boys and girls . . .

For boys:  Hollis . . . Damari . . . Cullen . . . Abner . . . Thatcher . . . Kody with a "K" . . . Ulises, but spelled weird . . . Osman . . . Ephraim . . . and Wren.

For girls:  Aylani . . . Ayah . . . Angelique . . . Shay . . . Sariah . . . Elisabeth with an "S" . . . Aadhya . . . Araya . . . Neriah . . . and Clare.

You know when a friend recommends a show to you, and adds in a fair warning like, "Give it a few episodes, I swear it's good"?  Well, they're probably not wrong.

There's a new study based on IMDb ratings, and it found that you should give a new show an average of SIX episodes to get good.

Here are 12 shows that took a while to hit their potential, and the number of episodes it took to reach its potential:

1.  "Breaking Bad": 6

2.  "Doctor Who": 6

3.  "Friends": 7

4.  "South Park": 8

5.  "Seinfeld": 16

6.  "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia": 8

7.  "Buffy the Vampire Slayer": 8

8.  "Community": 7

9.  "Brooklyn Nine-Nine": 6

10.  "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.": 13

11.  "The 100": 9

12.  "BoJack Horseman": 8

Oscar Recap - The weird

Adrien Brody set an Oscar record with his acceptance speech.  It was 5 minutes and 40 seconds.  The previous record was 5 minutes and 30 seconds, set by actress Greer Garson all the way back in 1943.

He's getting a lot of blowback for taking his gum out of his mouth and tossing it to his girlfriend before the speech.

Songwriter Diane Warren tied the record for most Oscar nominations without ever winning.  Sunday night was her 16th loss.

Sean Baker became the first filmmaker to win four Oscars for the same movie . . . for writing, directing, editing, and producing "Anora".

Name something you do, that you feel like you should deny doing . . . until you realize that everyone does it.

Polls consistently show that more than half of us admit to having peed in the shower  and usually it's a LOT more than half, over 80%.

This might be surprising though:  In a new poll, 24% of people say they relieve themselves in the shower "regularly" . . . with 12% saying they do it "a few times every week," and another 12% saying they do it DAILY.

Men are more likely than women to say they do it regularly . . . and young adults are more likely to do it than older folks.

Naturally, most people are peeing while the water is running. That's why it feels sanitary.  But it's worth pointing out:  The average person only cleans their shower nine times per year.

A Flamin' Hot Cheeto that kind of looks like a Pokémon character just sold at auction for an crazy amount of money.

Fans think it looks like a Charizard . . . one of the rarer characters . . . so it got the nickname "Cheetozard."

A place in Georgia called 1st and Goal Collectibles went viral last spring after posting a video of it.  They said they'd been hanging onto it for about five years.  It's three inches long, and they framed it to look like a trading card.

An online auction site called Goldin listed it last month with a starting bid of $250.  Pretty pricey for a single Cheeto.

But the auction didn't end until this past weekend . . . and it sold for $88,000.

The winning bid was 72 grand.  But when you tack on fees, it's $87,840.

Whoever bought it apparently thinks it'll be worth even more than that someday.  Or . . . it would be way cooler if they bought it just to eat it.

(Well, you got to catch ‘em all)

A guy in Australia named James Harrison just passed away at 88.  People called him "The Man with the Golden Arm" because of how much blood he donated.  Or technically, blood plasma.

He had a rare antibody used to treat a disease in unborn babies.  He found out about it as a teenager, and donated around every two weeks until he was 81.  He gave blood 1,173 times, and saved the lives of more than 2.4 MILLION babies.
