Vox.com has an article on 9 easy ways to make your life a little better.

Small little things.

Try to get natural light every day, especially in the morning.

Start a to-do list. Small tasks that are easy to check off. Start with one item.

Create your own rituals like a monthly get-together with friends for dinner, or even as simple as preparing a hot beverage in the morning.

Say hi to your neighbors. And be more in the moment.  Pick your head up, make eye contact if you can, and offer a smile, nod, or even a hello walking down the street.

Reach out to that friend you're thinking about right now. It's easy with social media. A quick text or more. I still have a pile of postcards to randomly send out for no reason. People like a little actual mail.

Lottery fever gripped us this week, but…

Would you rather have a 100% chance of winning $1 million . . . or a 75% chance at winning $100 BILLION?

The first option is guaranteed money that could change your life.  The second would make you one of the richest people in the world . . . but there's a 1 in 4 chance you get nothing.

Someone polled over 1,500 people on Reddit, and it's close.  But most said they'd roll the dice.

48% would go for the guaranteed money . . . 52% would risk it to go for the 100 billion.

"Star Wars" brand Blue Milk is hitting stores on April 17th, as part of Lucasfilm's "Imperial March" . . . which is a celebration in the weeks leading up to Star Wars Day May the 4th . . . as in, "May the 4th be with you."

Blue Milk is only in one scene in the "Star Wars" movies, and it's the 1977 original when Luke is talking to his Aunt and Uncle. (but it has shown up in some of the latest streaming shows) But it's popular enough that they even serve it at Disney theme parks.

This particular version is vanilla-flavored milk with blue food coloring.  Which, of course, you can make yourself pretty easily.  But of course, fans are gonna want the official "Star Wars" merch.

51% of Americans say they think of their car as "part of the family."

The poll also found 53% of us would hang onto our current car FOREVER if that was an option.  But the #1 reason isn't emotional, it's financial.

80% of us are trying to keep our current car going as long as possible because we don't want to spend the money on a new one.  Here are five more reasons we don't want to replace it . . .

1.  It's fairly reliable.  58% agreed.

2.  It gets pretty good gas mileage, 45%.

3.  There's just no way I could afford a new car right now, 28%.

4.  Fond memories, like a road trip or family vacations, 24%.

5.  You just have an emotional attachment to your car, 22%.

That said, most of us WOULDN'T go with the same car if we had to buy right now.  Only a third said they'd buy the same make and model in a newer year.

Baseball fans!!! Tomorrow is opening day for the 2024 season.

The online gambling site Bet U.S. is looking to hire a "WIENER CONNOISSEUR" to visit all 30 Major League ballparks and check out the wieners at each one.

You'll get to taste-test dozens of hot dogs, but they don't really care how good they are.  They just want you to MEASURE each weenie to see which Major League club has the biggest and smallest.

Once you've got your hands on one, you'll need to measure the length . . . diameter (or, girth) . . . and also how heavy it is.

It's not a full-time gig, but they also don't expect you to handle all these wieners for free. They buy the game tickets, travel is covered, and you get $2,500.  They'll also toss in a $500 gift card for MLBShop.com and a subscription to MLB.TV.

Easter is Sunday, and of course, there will be lots of Easter candy in that basket left by the Rabbit.

First, where do the traditions of eggs and rabbits come from?

Time explains Easter eggs and the Easter bunny have separate roots. The eggs have a religious origin, as Christians were at one point forbidden from consuming eggs during Lent; the eggs that couldn’t be eaten were therefore painted and gifted to kids instead. The origin of the Easter bunny, though, is a little less clear. Supposedly it dates back to an 18th-century German tradition where kids left out carrots for the bunny. Why? Not exactly sure. Perhaps there was a surplus of carrots at the time.

What is the most popular ever???

Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.

The West Coast does have a love of the Cadbury Creme Eggs.

Also on the list

2. Kinder Chocolate Candy Egg (with surprise inside)

3. Starburst Jelly Beans

4. Lindt Milk Chocolate Bunny

5. Cadbury Easter Creme Egg

6. Hershey's Milk Chocolate Candy Eggs

7. Hershey's Milk Chocolate Kisses

8. Peeps(traditional yellow)

9. M&M's Easter Milk Chocolate Candy

10. Brach's Jelly Bird Eggs

Completely missing is the Cadbury Mini Eggs. They should be at least in the top 10.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - There's supposedly an actual law in Scotland, where "any man who gets caught wearing underwear under his kilt can be fined two cans of beer" . . . but it's hard to imagine anyone being employed to enforce this "law."
