March Madness is underway. Did you get your bracket done in time?
Around one in six Americans planned to this year . . . and it's a lot easier when you know NOTHING about basketball. A poll found our top strategies for filling out brackets include "hunches," "vibes," and whatever our friends think.
18% of Americans think they follow basketball closely enough to make good picks, and another 16% have "limited knowledge." So together, that's a third.
Everyone else is just winging it: 23% said their top strategy is asking friends or family for help . . . 14% choose winners based on "hunches" . . . and 22% said just whatever "vibes" they're feeling. (Like, "Ooh, I like their colors.")
Around one in 10 said they sometimes make picks based on the team's mascot.

The New England Aquarium just built a retirement community for penguins. The rock slopes are more gradual, and they don't have to deal with all the nonsense younger penguins get up to.
The first six just moved in, and they're doing great. Their species has an average lifespan of 10 to 15 years, but most of them are already twice that old. The youngest is 29, and the oldest is 34.
They say the penguins should be happier there. It's also easier to do things like give them their daily meds.

Officials in the Netherlands brought back their popular "fish doorbell" again. It's something they've been doing since 2021 to help fish migrate up a river.
There's a gate they can't get past unless someone opens it for them. So they set up a livestream to let people all over the world monitor the gate.
If you see fish, you click a button to let someone know. There were about 1600 people watching when I was on this morning.
By the way, opening day of fishing season starts April 1 in NY and April 5 in PA.

"Dumb" comedy is an artform that's as valid as any other. Time Magazine has a list.
The author says "So in drawing up this list, I focused on movies that have over the years caused friends and acquaintances to say, “Really?” when I profess my love for them."
Basically, these movies, in their sensational, dazzling dumbness, make me laugh for reasons I can’t explain. Your favorites will be different—but maybe you’ll find something here that has thus far eluded your dumb-movie radar.
1. "Duck Soup" (1933) The Marx Brothers
2. "Caveman" (1981) Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach
3. "Step Brothers" (2008) John C. Reily and Will Ferrell
4. "Pootie Tang" (2001) from Louis C.K.
5. "Bad Teacher" (2011) Cameron Diaz
6. "Dumb and Dumber" (1994)
7. "Undercover Brother" (2002)
8. "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" (1997)
9. "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" (2004)
10. "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!" (1988)

4. "Girls Girls Girls", Motley Crue
5. "Mickey", Toni Basil
6. "Never Gonna Give You Up", Rick Astley

A single parking spot in Boston just hit the market for $750,000.
It's in a parking garage in Beacon Hill, around the corner from Boston Common and right by the famous "Cheers" bar.
If 750 grand for a parking spot sounds like a lot, it's actually MORE than that. The garage also charges $400 a month in fees. And the property taxes are $291 a month.
If you think no one would be crazy enough to pay that much for a parking spot . . . it looks like there's already at least one buyer. Redfin lists it as "contingent." So the owner accepted an offer, but it's not finalized.
The site CarScoops says the same parking spot sold in 2023 for $500,000. Pretty sweet profit in just two years.
