Before the big awards for Best movies were handed out, the worst films got their due.
The Razzie Awards were held Saturday and War of the Worlds was the winner..um loser!
It won five of the six categories including worst actor (Ice Cube); worst prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel; worst director (Rich Lee); and worst screenplay (Kenny Golde, Marc Hyman).
Organizers went on to say: “Utterly destroying H.G. Wells’ classic novel, director Rich Lee (maybe inspired by Ed Wood) chose a goofy gimmick, hack dialogue and a particularly hilarious performance by its lead, Ice Cube, to seize 2025’s biggest number of statues.”

Hilarious news segment on SNL this weekend about the most and least used emojis. Red Heart and Ariel Tramway were having way too much fun!!!
Anyway, Apple is releasing eight new emojis this spring

Ballet dancers (available in various skin tones)
Distorted face (bulging eyes extend from the head)
Fight cloud (as seen in cartoons)
Hairy creature (aka sasquatch)
Landslide (small rocks tumbling beside a larger rock)
Orca
Trombone
Treasure chest (full of gold, red gems, a pearl necklace and a crown)
For some reason, all the pictures I see also have an eaten apple to the core.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Oscar edition!
There was a tie last night in the Best Live-Action Short.
This is the seventh time it's happened. The first was 1932 for Best Actor, 1950 Documentary short, 1969 Best Actress, 1987 with Documentary Feature, 1995 with Live-Action Short, and 2013 with Sound Editing.
The "Big Five" winners: Only three films have won Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress, and Screenplay: It Happened One Night (1934), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), and The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
For four straight years (1978-1981), every Best Supporting Actress winner had initials "M.S." (Maggie Smith, Meryl Streep, Mary Steenburgen, Maureen Stapleton)
