21 years ago (yesterday) - In 2004, a website called The Facebook was launched by a Harvard sophomore named Mark Zuckerberg.
Things you should never post on Facebook.
Anything illegal, obviously. Don't incriminate yourself.
Answers to common security questions. Like your first car, or your mom's maiden name.
Your home address. That includes photos of your new place after you move.
Your phone number. If you want more scam calls, go for it.
Embarrassing pictures of other people. They might not think it's funny.
Your license. It's something a lot of 16-year-olds do.
Details about when you're leaving for vacation. Burglars want that info.
Your work schedule. Same reason. People will know you're not home.
Posts about expensive purchases. They can come across as braggy, or make you a target for scammers.
Tons of party photos. It won't look great when you're applying for jobs.
Emotionally charged posts. The type you end up regretting the next day.
Photos of your keys. People can duplicate them just from a photo now.
The name of your kid's school. In fact most information about your kid. It's just too scary of a world.
Revealing photos. The Internet never forgets.
Arguments or personal drama. It can make you look immature.
Relationship issues. Some stuff should stay personal.
Anything you wouldn't want your grandma to see. Grandmas make up like 95% of Facebook's userbase now.
Rants about hating your job. Or worse, hating your boss.

Some parents think that we coddle kids too much, and they're becoming too soft. And in the Netherlands, they're trying to correct this by making playgrounds less safe. Sort of.

A new policy proposal in the Netherlands would increase kids' access to open outdoor play areas to "climb, play with water and fire, sword-fight with sticks, build with hammers, rope, or knives, and wrestle and fall."
It's not just about making spaces riskier, it's making them less boring. They say more kids are sitting inside, being less active, because playing on their devices is more exciting than finding adventure outside.
One mother says "risk-taking play" can be a good thing, because "it's learning about boundaries." Someone else says "rough playing" might lead to bumps or cuts, but it helps kids "make social contact, and to learn to deal with risks."
That's right kids..you haven't lived until you fall off a jungle gym to a hard concrete pad!!!! Suck it up!!!!!!

Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas left the Grammys empty-handed on Sunday. But that doesn't mean their fans should attack the artists who beat them . . . or their supporters.
Finneas posted this on his Instagram Story . . . quote, "Great Grammys!!!! So honored to have been nominated amongst so many amazing songs/albums.
"I don't wanna see anyone with a photo of me or Billie as their [profile picture] gettin' in fights with other artists' fans in comment sections!!!
"Be at peace! Congratulations to all!!!"

AskReddit is talking about the phrases that annoy you every time they hear them, and many of them come from overdone memes. Here are the highlights:
"I was today years old . . ."
"This" . . . in place of saying that you agree.
"Well played."
"I love that for you."
"'POV' . . . of everything." It's used a lot in memes.
Another meme one: "Tell me you [blank], without telling me you [blank]."
"Not all heroes wear capes."
Finishing every sentence with "you know what I mean?"
"There's no such thing as a stupid question." That HIGHLY underestimates the stupidity of the population. (there kind of is..in the time it took you to post that..you could have looked it up because IT's IN YOU HAND!!!!
"I did a thing." And also: "All of the things."
"Hubby," "wifey," "preggers," and "doggo." Also: "Fur baby."
When people use "supposably" instead of "supposedly."
"Gaslighting." Mostly because it's often used incorrectly.
"Living my best life." Also: "Being my true self."
"I'm in my [blank] era." (love you Taylor..but...ugh thanks.)
Saying, "Thanks for coming to my 'Ted Talk'" . . . after the most basic, unoriginal couple of sentences about their opinion of something.
"The ick."
"[Blank] was not on my 2025 bingo card."
"Adulting."
"Lives rent-free in my head."

A "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" sequel series is close to happening with Sarah Michelle Gellar. It's, quote, "nearing a pilot order at Hulu", according to sources.
The sequel series will focus on a NEW slayer, but Sarah Michelle will have a recurring role. There's no word what the new show will be called or if there's any other returning actors.
And
Stranger Things fans, The Byers house from Season 4 of "Stranger Things" is listed for $675,000. It's actually located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but in the show, they say it's California.
It has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a backyard pond. It has three levels, including a finished basement. (and a portal to the Upside Down!)

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - There are size "A" and "B" batteries, they're just rarely used in anything. They're still occasionally used overseas for things like bicycle lamps, though.
