25 Years Ago - 1999 Sting released his sixth album Brand New Day.
The album earned Sting a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album and his third Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the title track.
The title track bubbled under the Hot 100 and made #2 Adult Alternative Songs and #8 Adult Pop Airplay.
"Desert Rose" was done with Cheb Mami an Algerian singer and peaked at #17, #1 Adult Alternative Songs, #22 AC, #3 Adult Pop Airplay, #5 Club, and #19 Pop Airplay.
