1992 - 30 Years Ago

1992 Right Said Fred released their debut album Up. The lead single "I'm Too Sexy" made #1 on the Hot 100 and Dance Sales chart #4 on the club chart. The idea for the song came about when the Fairbrass brothers were running a gym in London where, according to Richard, there was "lots of narcissism and posing". One day, he took his shirt off and started singing "I'm too sexy for my shirt" in front of a mirror as a joke.

"Don't Talk Just Kiss" followed and only made #76 and #8 Club, it also featured Jocelyn Brown. "Deeply Dippy" was #1 in the UK and only charted #9 on the Club chart.
