1992 Chaka Kahn released her eighth album The Woman I Am. The album is dedicated to her friend Miles Davis who died the previous year. The album won Khan a Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Female. Singles included "Love You All My Lifetime" the biggest from the album making #1 on the Club chart and #2 on the R&B chart (#68). "You Can Make the Story Right" was next at #8 R&B, then "I Want" (#62 R&B).
