40 Years Ago - 1986 Belinda Carlisle released her debut album Belinda.
The former lead singer from the Go-Go's worked with former bandmates Charlotte Caffey, Paula Jean Brown, and Jane Wiedlin, and also Susanna Hoffs of the Bangles, on writing some of the songs and as background singers.
"Mad About You" was one of the few songs that were being considered for a fourth Go-Go's album. It peaked at #3, #25 AC, #21 Club. (and shows just how bad a dancer she is)
"I Feel the Magic" made #82, but was used in Agree Shampoo ads.
"Band of Gold" is a cover of the Freda Payne1970 hit which peaked at #3. Belinda took it to #26 Club.
