1979 - The Long Run - Eagles

45 Years Ago - 1979 Eagles released their sixth album The Long Run.

It was the first album to feature bassist Timothy B. Schmit who replaced Randy Meisner. This was also the last full studio album to feature Don Felder and was their last album before they disbanded in 1980. 

"Heartache Tonight" co-written with Bob Seger and JD Souther peaked at #1 and #38 AC. It won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

"The Long Run" made #8 and #34 AC.

"I Can't Tell You Why" was sung by Schmit and peaked at #8, #3 AC.
