Nobel Peace Laureate Emeritus Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a towering figure who helped bring an end to apartheid in South Africa, has died in Cape Town. He was 90.
The passionate advocate for freedom headed the country's Truth and Reconciliation Commission in the 1990s, a grueling inquiry that investigated crimes during the apartheid era. It was widely seen as a crucial, healing step during South Africa's transition from apartheid to democracy. The TRC became a model for similar commissions in other parts of the continent.

A 44-year-old man in Delaware named McRoberts Williams robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Wilmington.
He walked up to the bank teller, and handed her a note that said, quote, "This is a robbery, I need $150." She gave it to him, and he ran out but he didn't go far.
He stopped at the ATM outside and used it to deposit the money into his account and then he ran off. The police later found him behind a nearby shopping center.
He reportedly told police that he traveled to Delaware "by riding on the exterior of a cargo train," and that his "mind is currently being controlled by a third party [through] an implant located somewhere in his body."
McRoberts was charged with second-degree robbery and is currently being held on a $6,000 cash bond.

There's a new cologne that's supposed to smell like the internet. The people who made it talked to a bunch of experts who suggested different scents to include.
It's not clear how many of them actually got incorporated into the cologne, but one description said it basically smells like office chairs and sweat.
Apparently it also smells like "the earth" as a way to incorporate the "world" part of World Wide Web.
"Scent of the Internet" is available at HighSnobiety.com, and it costs $150 for a single 15-milliliter bottle.

A poll asked people what they mix the hot chocolate powder into, and 41% said dairy milk, 31% said water, 8% said non-dairy milk (like almond, soy, rice, oat, and coconut "milk"), and 2% said "other," which is intriguing. 15% of the people surveyed claim they don't make hot chocolate.
You might want to try these hacks.
1. Add two ounces of espresso, plus a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon.
2. Using an oven-safe mug, top it with marshmallows, and put it under the broiler.
3. Take the hot chocolate mix, and add: A half-cup of pumpkin puree, one teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a quarter-cup of white chocolate chips.
4. Stir your hot chocolate recipe with equal parts warmed eggnog.
5. Drop a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream in a small bowl, then pour hot chocolate over it, along with a whipped cream topping.
6. Make it spicy with a half-teaspoon of ancho chile powder. If you do this, consider also adding cinnamon, dark brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
