Netflix is rebooting "Little House on the Prairie". The original series told the KIND OF true story of the Ingalls family, who lived on a farm in Minnesota in the late 1800s.
It was loosely based on the books of Laura Ingalls Wilder, and it ran from 1974 to 1983.
A Netflix exec says the new version will be, quote, "part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West."
There's no word yet on casting or a start date.
The original series streams on Peacock, where people watched more than 13 billion minutes of it in 2024.

Football fans know one of the biggest conspiracy theories that there is -
the NFL has been consistently rigging its seasons so that the Kansas City Chiefs and Taylor Swift can keep going to the Super Bowl.
Of course, the NFL will deny it. Dean Blandino used to be the vice president of officiating, and now he's a rules analyst on Fox. And he says his own BROTHER thinks the fix is in.
Quote, "My brother is like, 'They want Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl.' . . . [He says] the league is rigged and that I can't say anything about it."
But Blandino told his brother, quote, "One-hundred and fifty million people are gonna watch the Super Bowl regardless of Taylor Swift being there. Like enough, stop."
He added, quote, "I think if there was a script, I think the head of officiating would be pretty important in that process and no one ever invited me in the room."

This Sunday is Groundhog Day when America "attempts to capture the true excitement of a large squirrel predicting the weather."

But even though 4% of people believe Punxsutawney Phil is always 100% right, that's definitely not the case. In fact, Phil is not even the most accurate weather-predicting groundhog. He's 17th with 35% accuracy. (maybe because he has way more predictions)
They considered 19 groundhogs and similar species based on two main qualifications: They must have been prognosticating for at least 20 years and they must be active, even if they don't make a prediction EVERY year.
1st Place: Staten Island Chuck, out of New York. His accuracy is 85%.
2nd Place: General Beauregard Lee, out of Georgia. His accuracy is 80%.
3rd Place: Lander Lil, out of Wyoming. She isn't an actual groundhog. She's a bronze statue of a prairie dog. Close enough. She's right 75% of the time.

Buzzfeed asked their readers to create a list of "perfectly common things that some people find disgusting . . . but others don't think twice about." And here's what they came up with:
The feeling of lotion or moisturizer on their skin. (for me it's lip balm..how do ladies do lipstick..hate it!)
Toddlers with food on their face.
When people floss in front of others.
When people wear dirty shoes on a couch or bed.
Eating runny eggs.
Random hair . . . like on a bar of soap, in bathroom sinks, or on the floor.
Empty glasses of milk, with the little bit that's left behind.
Sitting in a now-warm seat that someone was just in.
The texture of wooden cutlery. (oh but those ice cream cups aren't the same without that taste of wood)
The feeling of wearing socks.
Bellybuttons.
Cotton balls. (i do make a face while handling them)
Dirty keyboards.
Greasy phones, greasy laptops, greasy cabinet doors, greasy fridge doors, and . . . the main culprit . . . GREASY FINGERS.
Eating cake after someone has blown all over it . . . especially after a little kid has blown all over it. (the pandemic really brought this out in people)

A nutritionist in England came up with what she claims is the "healthiest meal in the world."
It's about 1200 calories and has cheese and chocolate (sort of) and is a huge amount of food!!!!!

The Starter: Labneh cheese with roasted tomatoes and broccoli. Labneh is a fermented cheese popular in the Middle East. It's got healthy bacteria that's good for your gut.
Main Course: Citrus mackerel salad with chickpeas, fennel, and red onions. Mackerel is one of the healthiest types of fish, because it's loaded with omega-3's. She says to top it with black olives, sauerkraut, and pumpkin seeds.
For Dessert: Tofu chocolate mousse with blueberries. The recipe calls for dark chocolate, not milk chocolate. The blueberries are loaded with antioxidants.

The BBC did a story about a guy in England named Donovan Shears, who got his first cell phone in 1998 when he was 18.
Texting was brand new back then. So he texted "hello" to a random number, just for fun. He got a text back from a woman named Kirsty . . . and ended up marrying her.
They got married four years later and have two kids now, aged six and nine.
This reminds me of the thing we were for fun (years ago when the world was less creepy) txt your phone number neighbor. I guess you could go either way, so if your number ends with a 63..txt the 64 or 62 numbers.
Anyone ever do that?
DO NOT MENTION WHO YOU HEARD THIS FROM..I don't need the hassle.
