Single - “That’s What Friends Are For” - Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Gladys Knight, and Stevie Wonder, or known as Dionne and Friends. Originally written for Rod Stewart in 1982 for the Night Shift soundtrack. It won the Grammy Awards for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and Song of the Year. It raised over $3 million for its cause. It spent four weeks at #1.
Album - “Whitney Houston” - Whitney Houston It topped the Billboard 200 for fourteen weeks. Actually released in 1985, it finally started showing some life by the summer. It won a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female for her song "Saving All My Love for You"
Seems like almost every song was released as a single.
