The Record Companies, for the most part, shut down late December and early January, which gives us time to say goodbye to our Anniversary years with their #1 songs of the year. Added bonus of the #1 Album of the Year as well.

Single - "Silly Love Songs" Paul McCartney and Wings. It spent five non-consecutive weeks at #1.

Album - "Frampton Comes Alive" Peter Frampton. Ten non-consecutive weeks at #1. Three singles reaching the Top 15. "Show Me the Way", "Baby, I Love Your Way", and "Do You Feel Like We Do" (the album was also #14 in 1972)
