Bonus Releases 1982 & 1987

1982

Adam Ant released his debut album Friend or Foe.

The first single "Goody Two Shoes" made #12 on the Hot 100.


Culture Club released their debut album Kissing to Be Clever.

Their breakthrough single was "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" which made #2 on the Hot 100. The follow up "Time (Clock of the Heart)" also made #2, and "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" made #9.




INXS released their third album, their first released worldwide, Shabooh Shoobah.

"The One Thing" made #30 on the Hot 100 and #2 on the Top Tracks chart.


Missing Persons released their debut album Spring Session M. (an anagram of their name)

"Words" and "Destination Unknown" both made #42 on the Billboard Chart.



Toni Basil released her debut album Word of Mouth.

It featured the huge hit "Mickey." It made #1 and #3 Club.

The album also featured the fun "Shoppin' from A to Z" making #77, and yes, that is Fred Berry..you know Rerun from What's Happening...in the video.



Musical Youth released their debut album The Youth of Today.

The album featured "Pass the Dutchie" which made #10 #11 Club #8 R&B.


1987


Earth, Wind, & Fire released their fourteenth album Touch the World.

Diving into the New Jack Swing sytle "System of Survival" while only reaching #60 on the Hot 100, it was a #1 R&B, Club, and Dance Single Sales smash. Thinking of you followed to #1 Club and Dance Singles and #3 R&B.



Communards released their second album Red.

The single "Never Can Say Goodbye" made #51 but was a #2 Club smash.
