Bonus Releases 1972 & 1977

There's so much music, here are things I didn't get to during the month.

50 Years Ago - 1972

Pure Prairie League released their second album Bustin' Out. It featured their hit single "Amie" which flopped in 1973 but in 1975 it made #27.

Loggins and Messina released their self-titled second album. "You're Mama Don't Dance" made #4 and #19 AC and "Thinking of You" made #18 and #7 AC.

The Stylistics released their second album Round 2 featuring two of their biggest hits. "I'm Stone In Love With You" (#10 #4 R&B #27 AC) and "Break Up To Make Up" (#5 Hot 100 and R&B #20 AC.)

Stealers Wheel released their self-titled debut album. (hmm..I always thought it was Steelers Wheel)

Gerry Rafferty and the boys took "Stuck in the Middle With You" to #6 (#13 AC.)

Bee Gees released their tenth album To Whom It May Concern. It featured the #16 (#6 AC) hit "Run to Me."

45 Years Ago - 1977

Dolly Parton released her nineteenth album Here You Come Again. The album was a big pop crossover album. "Here You Come Again" made #3 and #2 AC and won the Grammy for "Best Female Country Vocal Performance," and "Two Doors Down" made #19 and #12 AC.

David Bowie released his twelfth album Heroes. This was the same year that he did the Christmas duet with Bing Crosby. The title track did not chart even though it was released as a single.
