Weddings on the cheap are all the rage now. So someone asked a bunch of event planners and wedding experts what they'd cut out. Here are a few things they say they wouldn't waste money on . . .
1. Any kind of wedding favor with the couple's name on it. Your dad might use that beer koozie with your name written in cursive, but no one else will.
2. Lots and lots of real flowers. Fake flowers are way better than they used to be. Use real ones for the bouquet if you want. But buying or renting fake flowers for everything else will save you money.
3. A bottle of fancy champagne for every table. The manager of a wedding venue said they dump SO much champagne down the drain. Just let people toast you with their own drink.
4. A big expensive cake. Cupcakes or donuts are a much cheaper option.
5. Liquor. Just go with a beer-and-wine bar. It's cheaper, and your guests will have to really work to get sloppy drunk.
6. Personalized cocktail napkins. No one cares or pays attention to them. Normal napkins are fine.
7. Elaborate centerpieces. Think of the last wedding you went to, and tell me what the centerpieces looked like. You probably can't remember.

Things I'm Super Good At
Forgetting someon's name 10 seconds after they tell me
Buying produce...and throwing it away two weeks later
Digging through the trash for the food box I just tossed because I already forgot the directions.
Making plans. And then immediately regretting making plans.
Leaving laundry in the dryer until it wrinkles. Then turning on the dryer to dewrinkle. Then forgetting it again.
Calculating how much sleep I'll get if I can just "fall asleep right now."

Morgan Wallen just broke a 46-year-old record by becoming the first singer since 1978 to have the #1 song of the summer in back-to-back years. And he's only the second artist EVER to accomplish this feat.
The only other time it happened was when Andy Gibb had the #1 summer song in 1977 with "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" . . . and then again in 1978 with "Shadow Dancing".
The champion this summer is "I Had Some Help" by Post Malone featuring Morgan . . . and last year it was "Last Night" that went to #1.
Morgan also becomes the first singer ever to have a #1 summer song both as a featured and solo artist, and he is the only Country artist ever to have the Song of the Summer twice.

Google did another one of its look-backs on the top who, what, when, where, and why questions we asked last month. Here they are . . .
1. Who is speaking at the DNC tonight? The Democratic National Convention ran from August 19th through the 22nd. Besides the politicians, notable speakers included Eva Longoria, Stevie Wonder, Mindy Kaling, and Oprah.
2. What does monkey pox look like? It was all over the news again after the World Health Organization declared it a public health emergency. It starts out looking like pimples or blisters that turn into scabs.
3. When does the "Love Island" reunion air? It was on August 19th after the season finale in July. It's a dating show, if you're not aware.
Where to watch the "Love Island" reunion? Peacock.
5. Why is everyone saying "demure"? TikTok made it the hot new slang term last month. It means being mindful about how you present yourself to the world.
Bonus: The top "how" question we asked was how long is Blake Lively's new movie, "It Ends with Us" . . . 2 hours and 10 minutes. Or, 384 pages if you're talking about the novel.
