Did your phone go off during the Emergency test today? Most of us are aware that it was a test of the system to send us notifications in the case of an emergency. Good to test these things and work out any issues. BUT-

Some conspiracy theorists say they're avoiding it by leaving their phones off all day.

They claim that the alert on people's cellphones will be used to "activate nanoparticles introduced into people's bodies."

There are many conflicting "explanations" for how or why this will happen, but there's one video where a woman says that the test will trigger "graphene oxide" that was put in people's blood through COVID-19 vaccines.

And when that happens, the government will be able to monitor people and control them like remote control toys.

Not to go down this rabbit hole, but graphene oxide is not an ingredient in any Covid vaccine, and even if it was scientists say you can't "activate" it, and it makes no sense that it could somehow interact with wireless networks.

There's an article making the rounds that says we should all be washing our BANANAS.

A senior director at something called the International Food Information Council says to wash your bananas under clean, running water before you peel them. You don't need to use special veggie wash. Just water is fine.

But that's not all.

She says we should really be washing our AVOCADOS too. It might be even more important than washing bananas.

Like any type of produce, the outside can get contaminated with bacteria. But the reason they're more important to clean than bananas is because we CUT INTO avocados, and the knife can drag some of that bacteria into the part you eat.

The same advice holds true for anything with an inedible peel. So, things like onions, melons, oranges, and pineapples too. They say if you want to be as safe as possible, you should be washing all of those.

Paris is crawling with Bed Bugs!!!

The tiny pests were first reported in hotels and vacation rental apartments across the city during the summer. Then there were sightings in movie theaters and, in recent days, there have even been reports of bedbugs crawling around on seats in both national high-speed trains and the Paris Metro system.

Experts stress that hygiene has nothing to do with the spread of bedbugs — rather their high fertility rate means that once they find somewhere to eat and reproduce, they spread rapidly.

They have to adress the problem as they are hosting the Paris Summer Olympics in just 10 month!

The National Zoo's three giant pandas are returning to China in December and, it appears, no pandas will be arriving to replace them. Observers believe China is ending the program to punish the U.S. over diplomatic and economic disputes.

Remember back when John Wick 4 came out, and it was reported that Keanu only said 380 words...in the whole movie?

Now, John Woo has directed an action movie with absolutely no dialogue at all!!!

It's called "Silent Night", it's out December 1st and it stars Joel Kinnaman as a man who seeks vengeance after his son is caught in the crossfire of gang violence.

Kinnaman's character also gets shot . . . in the throat. He survives, but he's unable to speak as he seeks his vengeance.

The tagline of the movie is "Nothing speaks louder than revenge."

Actually, there is another recent dialogue-free action movie, that's Hulu's alien invasion flick "No One Will Save You".

A guy on TikTok is going viral after claiming you can keep your home cooler by pointing your window blinds up instead of down.

The ones with horizontal slats, and a little rod you spin to adjust them.

Most people think they look better pointed down but pointing them up can supposedly make a room up to EIGHT DEGREES cooler.

It lets less sunlight in, and also bounces those U.V. rays up toward the ceiling instead of down toward the ground where they warm the room more.

There are even a few web sites that back it up. He doesn't say where he got the "eight degrees" part but he claims he tested it, and it did change the temperature by almost that much.

Try it and see if it makes a difference. Then as we move into winter, point them down again to keep your place warmer.

Something new to remember when you change the direction of your ceiling fan.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - The rotation of Venus itself is very slow, but it travels around the sun faster than Earth. A DAY on Venus lasts 243 Earth days, while a YEAR on Venus only lasts 225 Earth days. Yes, that means a DAY on Venus is a little longer than a YEAR on Venus.
