Labor Day weekend marks the unofficial end of summer, so a lot of us are firing up the grill one last time.

A new poll just in time for it looked at the most loved condiments in America.  And the one we love the MOST isn't ketchup or mustard.

They asked 7,000 people about the four big ones you'd most likely be putting on your hot dog or burger:  ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and relish.  And the one we "love" the most is MAYONNAISE.

30% of Americans love mayo . . . 29% love ketchup . . . 25% love mustard . . . and just 13% of us love relish.

If you include people who just "like" them, then ketchup reigns supreme.  85% of us like or love ketchup . . . mayo, 80% . . . mustard, 78% . . . and relish, 58%.

Relish is most hated of the group.  Around one in seven people (14%) can't stand it.  Only 4% of us hate ketchup, but it's a passionate 4%.

There's a comprehensive Labor Day survey out on jobs, and here are some interesting stats from it:

1.  Seven out of ten people say they're working HARDER this year than last year.

2.  Nearly six in ten people think tariffs and inflation are erasing their hard work.

3.  Two in five Americans are concerned that A.I. will take their job.

4.  Nearly three in five Americans say it's not easy to get a job right now.

According to recent reports on the job market, it seems like YOUNGER WORKERS are bearing the brunt of this pressure.  Partially because entry level positions are the easiest to cut to save money . . . especially when aspects of those jobs are more likely to be handled by A.I.

5.  Nearly three in five Americans say they don't have a "budget" for Labor Day spending.  But let's be honest:  Some of them don't use a budget . . . at all.

6.  93% of people think companies should offer financial wellness tools to employees.  (Those are people already in the workforce.  But financial literacy should also be a MUCH bigger focus in schools.)

7.  94% of people want a raise to keep up with inflation.

8.  52% of Americans are planning to spend less this Labor Day weekend compared to last year.

9.  59% are planning to check out Labor Day sales for good deals.

10.  They did not ask the most important question:  Are you willing to go rogue and wear white after Labor Day?  And if not . . . what would happen if you wore a blue and black outfit to work, but coworkers saw it as white and gold?

A list of fan theories about "SpongeBob SquarePants" includes that Bikini Bottom is the site of nuclear testing, each main character represents a Deadly Sin, and Krabby Patties are made from crabs. (think about it, are there other crabs? Why is the recipe so secret?)

SpongeBob and Squidward's homes are from a tiki bar, supposedly from a ship that sank.

There's a new TikTok trend of people wanting a beer . . . on the rocks.  It's apparently catching on among Gen Z, and the idea is that adding ice is the "most refreshing way to drink a beer."

This isn't the first time people have been passionate about ICE COLD beer . . . especially in the summer.  But adding actual ice is controversial.  Someone in the comments said, "Literally ANY chilling method is fine.  Except ice cubes."

In a recent poll, nearly one in three young adults admitted to putting their pints on ice, and 20% said they find the idea of adding ice to beer and wine "refreshing."

The folks at Dictionary.com announced they've added more than 1,200 new words and terms so far this year.

Coffee badging.  Being at work "just long enough to have coffee" or swipe your badge to clock in.  Then you split and work from home the rest of the day.

Kiss cam.  You know it, but here's the formal dictionary definition . . .

"A popular feature at stadium events in which two spectators . . . PRESUMED to be a couple . . . are shown on a large screen and encouraged to kiss for the audience's entertainment.

Sanewash.  "To misrepresent [something] as sensible or acceptable" even though it's crazy or extreme.

Bothsidesism.  "The practice or habit of representing opposing arguments as equally strong OR invalid."  There's always that one person on Facebook who's playing both sides.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - The entirety of Wikipedia can be downloaded . . . and the total file size is smaller than the latest "Call of Duty".  And it's not close.

(and now the government is wanting to whitewash it, so download what’s there now to put it back up when this nightmare is over.)
