New at the Theaters this Weekend

Afraid - horror movie with John Cho, Katherine Waterston, Keith Carradine, David Dastmalchian, Havana Rose Liu, and Lukita Maxwell. About a smart home digital family assistant. (what could go wrong...)

If you're having burgers this Labor Day weekend, try eating yours upside down.  Here are the three main benefits . . .

1.  The "crown" or top bun is thicker and sturdier.  So it's less likely to droop and let stuff fall out.  It's especially true with greasy burgers because the bottom bun can already be a little soggy by the time you go to eat it.

2.  It exposes your taste buds to more flavors.  Flipping it over means the burger's on top, and everything else is underneath it.  So you'll taste the condiments and toppings more.  There's a subtle, but noticeable difference.

3.  It's easier to pick a burger up when you eat it upside down.  Put it on your plate like normal.  It should only be upside down when it's in your hands. (why can't you put it upside down on your plate?? I do that sometimes with a "messy" one.)

If you're eating it right side up, you have to slide your thumbs under it.  But from an ergonomics standpoint, it's actually easier to slide your fingers under there . . . with your thumbs on top . . . and then flip it 180 degrees.

Do people really fit into one of four categories?

A TikToker in North Carolina named Dionna May blew up online for a video showing what all her Type B friends are like.

It's loosely based off personality types.

Type A's are high-achievers who like being in charge . . . Type B's are more chill . . . Type C's are like Type A's, but hide their emotions more . . . and Type D's are more irritable.

Dionna's friend categories are similar but different.  And each one has its own set of quirks . . .

Type A friend:  The overly responsible one.  You plan and organize everything, have a sense of urgency, and make sure things like vacations don't fall apart.

Type B friend:  You'd give someone the shirt off your back, but YOU need help too.  You're forgetful, leave stuff behind, and your phone is always dead.

Type C friend:  You're organized like Type A, but more neurotic . . . more likely to bow out of things other people want to do . . . and you love long naps.

Type D friend:  You're annoyed a lot . . . prone to confrontation . . . have a twisted sense of humor . . . and you might be into weird stuff like crystals and astrology.

BuzzFeed did a poll where most people said they're Type A.  But a lot claim they realized they're Type B after watching the videos.

Would you say you're a "wise" person?  There's no minimum age.  An 80-year-old can be wise, and so can an eight-year-old.

A new study at the University of Waterloo in Canada looked at the top traits that make a person wise.

They polled people in a dozen countries across five continents and found their answers were consistent no matter where they lived.

They boiled it down to two things:  In order to be "wise," you have to have "reflective orientation" and "socio-emotional awareness."

"Reflective orientation" means you're able to think logically . . . control your emotions . . . reflect on things . . . and apply knowledge in a useful way.

"Socio-emotional awareness" means you care about other people's feelings . . . have good intentions . . . and you're mindful of how you interact in social settings.

Most people in the study said they DON'T think they're very wise . . . which, let's be honest, is probably right.

There's a new poll of our favorite reality shows. The poll has a very loose definition of reality show.

1.  "America's Got Talent",  42%

2.  "American Idol",  33%

3.  "Family Feud",  31%

4.  "Catfish",  29%

5.  "90 Day Fiancé",  28%

6.  (tie) "Hell's Kitchen" and "The Voice",  27%

8.  "Shark Tank",  25%

9.  (tie) "Pawn Stars" and "Impractical Jokers",  22%

"Judge Judy", "The Masked Singer", "Survivor", and "60 Days In"all got 21%.

Post Malone is dominating the Country music world with his new album, "F-1 Trillion".  And he just broke another really impressive record.

According to "Billboard", Posty is the first person in MUSIC HISTORY to have a #1 on the Top Country Album chart, a #1 on the Top Rap Album chart, and a #1 on the Top Rock & Alternative chart.

He had three #1 rap albums: "Stoney" . . . "Beerbongs and Bentleys" . . . and "Hollywood's Bleeding".

He had a #1 Rock & Alternative album with "Austin" . . . and now his #1 Country album "F-1 Trillion" puts him in a category of ONE.

Today is National Lemon Juice Day -

So we revisit a hack from the internet, originally posted in 2022..good or bad?

Tossing half a lemon in your dishwasher supposedly kills bacteria and prevents limescale from building up.

"Food & Wine" looked into whether it really works.  And the answer is . . . in theory, yes.  The acidity might help with lime build-up.  But overall, it's probably not worth it.  And you can't just toss half a lemon in there either.

The seeds can clog or break the machine.  So you have to remove them first.  And half a lemon won't do much anyway.  You'd need to use multiple lemons.

Consumer Reports looked into this same hack last year and found it's better to just use a cleaning solution designed for de-scaling dishwashers.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Botox was invented in Vancouver in 1987.  But it wasn't cleared as a cosmetic treatment until 2002.
