Britain's got a new prime minister, and the Labo(u)r Party is in power again for the first time in 14 years. It is their fifth in eight years. (Also the French rejected the Right..if only we would do the same in November)

Keir Starmer is his name.

A crew of NASA scientists emerged from a simulation of Mars after over a year in the faux-red-planet Saturday.

The four crew members exited the 17,000 square foot, 3D-printed habitat and walked into a news conference. "It's actually just so wonderful to be able to say 'hello' to you all," Kelly Haston, mission commander said.

The mission was the first of NASA's Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog program that aims to collect data on human health and performance within the parameters of Mars' resource limits.

The four volunteers entered the17,000 square foot, 3D-printed habitat on June 25, 2023. Nathan Jones, the mission's medical officer, said the 378 days in the habitat, "went by quickly."

They caught up on all the news that they missed and ran back in the simulation and slammed the door and asked to stay. (haha)

Electric Cars are now looking to the Solid State Battery.

Solid state batteries are a "quantum leap," manufacturers say. They could double current EV mileage, slash charging times to a mere coffee break, and bid adieu to spontaneous combustion fears.

They aren't new. Solid-state batteries are found in pacemakers, and in RFID and wearable devices. Solid-state batteries are potentially safer, with higher energy densities.

"Scrambled pancakes" are trending on TikTok.  The process is the same, but you don't have to worry about cooking them exactly right.

You pour the batter in the pan like normal.  Then instead of flipping, you scramble them up like eggs, so you end up with a bunch of tiny pancake pieces.  It almost looks like funnel cake.

Some woman posted a video on how to do it, and the idea went viral . . . partly because a lot of people didn't watch the whole thing. (it is a minute long so...come on!)

It ends with her saying they did NOT taste good, so the whole thing was a joke.  But others who've tried it claim they're delicious.

Many of the comments also noted the dish’s similarity to kaiserschmarrn, an Austrian dish consisting of pancakes that are cut and torn while cooking and served with powdered sugar, fruit, jam or other toppings.
