Which generation sleeps the most?  The Boomers who start nodding off during "Jeopardy!" but get up at 5:00 A.M. . . . or the Gen Z'ers who sleep in until 11:00 A.M., but are up all night on their phones?

A new survey has found that 75% of Americans get between six and eight hours of sleep per night.

Millennials get the most sleep . . . with 85% logging six or more hours.

Gen X gets the least . . . with 18% sleeping five hours or fewer.

Millennials also rate their sleep quality better than any other generation.  Nearly half (49%) say they have good sleep.  Gen X gets the worst sleep, with 27% rating their sleep as poor.

Men are more likely than women to rate their sleep as "good" . . . but women are more likely to say sleep is "very important" to them.

Overall, 41% of Americans rate their sleep as "good" . . . 39% say it's "okay" . . . and 20% rate their sleep as "bad."

As for what is keeping people up the most, this shouldn't be surprising:  For Boomers and Gen X, the biggest disruptor is back pain.  For Gen Z it's:  Social media.

Other health conditions that keep people up include . . . insomnia, anxiety, and sleep apnea.

Sometimes, eating the same thing every day, especially if it’s nutritious, seems like a good idea. It helps with meal preparation and simplifies one's life.

But should you do it?

A nutrition therapist asks "Why are they doing that?" it could be a mental issue.

Then she encourages variety. Consuming the same foods every day could lead to nutrient deficiencies and poor gut health.

Another concern about eating the same thing is that it can result in intense cravings or a fixation on the foods you aren’t eating.

In short, we need different foods to get enough nutrients for a healthy lifestyle, and it also helps you from getting bored with the same thing every day.

More of the discussion is in this article.

We've seen a lot of thunderstorms this summer, and maybe you should listen to what your mother said, and meteorologists back it up with things they would never, ever do during a thunderstorm.

-Don't stay outside

-They don't ignore thunder. Lightning can strike 10 to 15 miles away from the core of a thunderstorm.

-Don't handle corded electronics during a storm

-Avoid using running water like a shower or doing dishes

If someone is struck by lightning you probably should call 911. Oh and you don’t need to be afraid to touch someone who has been struck either, since “they don’t hold that electric charge.

Do you need good posture? Probably Not!!! The idea of it came about in the 1850s!

Originally sitting up straight was seen as low class.

Then Darwin came around with the thought that it was the one thing that distinguishes human beings from simians and as human beings were failing at it.

The bottom line of this is if you don't have back pain, don't worry about your posture. If you do, seek out advice from experts on the best way to cure it.

A couple in New Jersey says that the windshield of their car was shattered by a random fish falling from the sky. They think that it was dropped by an egle that has a nest at the back of their property. They do live about a mile away from a Bay and do see birds flying with fish in their mouths. Explain that to the insurance company.

Newsweek has a ranking of all 50 states, based on how friendly they are to tourists.

New York was named the rudest state in America along with many in the North East.

The friendliest state in America is Minnesota.

PA we are ranked 18th.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - A president without a vice president is like a captain without a first mate, but some U.S. presidents — four, to be precise — have nevertheless had to serve without one. They were John Tyler (1841-1845), Millard Fillmore (1850-1853), Andrew Johnson (1865-1869), and Chester A. Arthur (1881-1885), all of whom ascended to the presidency when their predecessors died in office.

Because the 25th Amendment didn’t lay out an official process for naming a new VP in such an event until 1967, those four commanders in chief simply went without one. All four failed to win reelection; some even failed to secure their party’s nomination and therefore never had the chance to select a running mate.
